I love dressing up as characters. Hermione's the best for me because I have bushy hair and a big mouth, but I also love Cardassians and Klingons so I'd like to dress up as one of those, too, maybe when the next Trek flick comes out.

Good morning, everyone. I have a pointless interview today. (Pointless in that the firm is not actually hiring; they're just meeting me in case they one day decide to hire somebody.) But I'm not bitter or anything.

Well, it may not have been a complete waste of time. The firm is actually looking to expand in the near future, although that does not necessarily mean making a lateral hire--it may involve hiring people fresh out of law school or gobbling up another firm.

I'm trying to sell them on letting me start up an appellate litigation practice area--we'll see how that goes.

Well I've never dressed up or waited in line, but when the second of the new Star Wars movies came out some of us drove by the threater and tossed waterballons at some people we knew that were dressed up and waiting in line. That count for anything?

I can read a few words of it, mostly due to my closed captioning. There are Klingon language courses you can buy, though.

I know. I almost bought a Klingon dictionary once.

But I like Sindarin better... it's not so harsh as Klingon (which doesn't surprise me, since Klingon grammar is based on The Turkish language).
