Howdy everyone! A week and some hours and I'll be back in Norfolk. Less than a week til I get back to the US. I'm getting ready to head home... it's been fun but I miss the hubby and the puppies.

Hope you all have a good holiday weekend! I'm heading to Sweden tomorrow night to take the car back and then I'll be back in Finland Tuesday night so I won't be around during that time... at least not much. Then I'm here for two and a half more day after that and I have dentist appointments two of those days... oh well, hopefully it will be all in order at that point.

I'll get the place cleaned up for you before you get back! The water in downtown Norfolk should subside by then (it may have already).

Yea, next weekend is Oceana Air Show. If you go, stop by the Bluetail booth and say Hi to Kevin. I should be there on Sunday.
Our house sits very high for the area so we don't really have any flooding problems and we even have a BASEMENT (which for those who don't know is a pretty much non-existing feature in the Norfolk, Va Beach area). Basement doesn't have any sign of flooding and the paint is OLD.
Kevin is driving back from MD now and he said it's fine. He's so happy now when he has gotten the wienerdogs back again, he's got some company. I miss them all...
I've even started packing a bit because I'm just ready to go home. Considering I don't usually pack until the last night or the last morning... Guess three weeks is the max I should stay if the hubby is home.

Jen: I'd thought about taking my son to the air show. I'll let you know if we go (my schedule at the radio station is so sporatic now that I don't have a clue when I'm working until the Friday before).

It was sunny and DRY here today! Beautiful, in fact. After DL tomorrow I want to get my yard cleaned up. My son's going to a birthday party, so I'll have the afternoon free to get it done.

The temperature was in the 60s when I got up for work this morning, and it felt SO nice out! I'm really looking forward to fall. I need to take my son to pick up a few new shirts for school (he "needs" something "cool" to wear the first day of school... I guess it's back to the old t-shirts the rest of the year?).

I was kidnapped by my best friend and forced to go visit her and her family over night. She came and pounded on my door like it was a "raid".

While I was there she mentioned a job opening in the company she works for. We spurced up my resume and she is going to hand deliver it and ask the manager who is hiring to please interview me.

It would be an entry level job but I have been trying to get out of the field I am in and into a new one so I know I would have to start on the bottom and work up.

When is first day of school there? I know my priest there is a teacher and went back on the 28th, but I thought it was rather early.
I've been really slow getting going today. I need to clean out my car and give it a rinse off (my mom lives off a gravel road so it's always dusty UGH) and then pack up some stuff for a few days for the 'taking back the car' trip. Plus I should clean up some other stuff too...
ARGH, well I should get going!!! Have a good weekend!!! I'll be home in less than a week...

Well, I was dressed for chuch & on the way out the door, when I started walking over broken glass. Our buddy Ernesto popped a second floor window out of the house yesterday, along with a large tree & a few telephone poles. By the time I got the window covered over, it was too late too get to DL
