I don't know if it's because I feel like a guest in TAW (not a bad thing btw) but I find myself not wanting to disagree or get into debates.

I'm actually listening, taking advice and investigating sources.

Maybe because Orthodox is new to me, (and reading books does not really count) Not new exactly, because it's seems it's something I always knew but needed to be pointed in the right direction.

"See that light over the hill? Follow it!"

"But it's dark and I may get lost."

"Here take my hand and I'll lead you, but you have to walk into the light alone. No one can do it for you"

"Okay, let's go."

A sure fire sign of weariness is when I start posting in an incoherent manner.

Goodnight All!

Many of us have been there before. And we have all had to take that lonely journey over the hill toward the light, alone. You are more than welcome here and you may ask anything you need to know about.

Good morning to those who treat colds with a hot bath and whisky, to those who confuse grogs and Grolsch and would like us to believe that German beers are the best, to other hop-flavoured beverages lovers, to those whose favourite place are the Bronx Zoo or the botanical gardens, to those who start their day by playing Bach in F major and whose Dad can cook, to those whose parish's patronal feast was yesterday doot doot, to Maximus and those who rejoice to see him pop in, to those who wonder if Oblio is around, to surprising moderators who don't really moderate, to sanctuary seeking women who recently changed their faith icon, to those who spend some time on the non-orthodox byzcath forum, to those who made a coptic guy angry by calling their Pope by his name, to those who made an entry in their own book of records, to those who post with their phone from a monastery, to those who think there are nice people here, to those who feel like a guest and to those who've been there before, to those who go to bed and to other friends.

Wow Emmanuel - that was a very well constructed greeting today

Bet you took a large breath once it was finished

A Sentence of 7 lines and a few other words as well leaves the reader somewhat short of breath.

Hearty congratulations

Good morning everyone!

Aria, you remain in my prayers. The work I've seen you and some of the others do on CF is nothing short of amazing. I've seen some very lost souls on CF, and people who--until they met you--had no hope.

Like Annabel Lee, I, too, sometimes feel like a visitor here (having just found you all at the end of May) so also shy away from anything that might appear to be a debate. But it is the likes of people like you, and "other friends" (that's for you, Emmanuel!) on TAW that has kept me coming back out of fellowship, concern, and
sometimes entertainment! There are so many places each of us can be in the world and on the internet at any given time, but we each find a way to come back to check on each other, to pick each others' brains, to share in the birth of children, to celebrate birthdays, to learn from and teach each other, and to pray for one another. Given the millions of other alternatives, TAW is an amazing place.

I thank God for leading me here to be with you. I have learned so much in such a small period of time. I AM here because I need someone to hold my hand and walk with me until it's time for me to journey on my own.

It's your hands that I'm reaching for. At the same time, for what it's worth, I'm offering mine to you. :)

Im so excited, just found out that Bp Kallistos Ware will be here for a visit this weekend. Also some other Bishops and about 15 archmandrites from Mt Athos. WOW! There is a big expo in Helsinki opening about Mt Athos so that is why. I will attempt to take some pictures.

You know Emmanuel, I was thinking it might be a good idea for me to start writing summaries such as yours in order to strenghten my weakening German vocabulary which very rarely gets put to use anymore...
