bah! i need to take a physical education course to graduate, and in typical fashion, i did not register in time and they were all filled up. but, fortunately, the jogging guy was like, 'sure, show up and you can take the course.'

Hey everyone!
Kevin's conversion was wonderful. So now we're a 100% Orthodox household (well, working on the dogs and cats but they'll just have to deal with getting doused in holy water).
I'll post some pictures when I get my hands on a card reader.
Father gave a lovely little sermon and said at the end: Welcome to the church... although you were already a part of us.
He took communion first of everyone and came back and smiled and said: I didn't know it was warm.
We had a great coffee hour (someone had been scouring the books for lenten recipes) and we have a new family as well. Lady is Russian, husband is converting and they have the CUTEST 4 month old little girl. She almost got my baby fever going... but NOT completely.
And it looks like it's going to be a bit warmer this coming week.
Well, time to start cooking lunch for Kevin before the Navy takes him away in a bit and he'll be gone for two months.

For those who are not familiar with the lives of the saints, Abba Moses the Ethiopian is a very highly regaurded Orthodox saint, and he wasn't caucasian! But then, Christ wasn't caucasian either. Imagine that?

I'm glad they don't require physical education at my school. If they did, I would have been like, "But I already know where babies come from!"

Hey Michael, as far as I could tell, it was one very young man who didn't want to listen, only talk and respond. I think he needs a little prayer, that's all. (or maybe I missed other goings-on?)

That's wonderful news!
I remember my time in the Navy with a shudder - they had me in a job field (engineer) that they wouldn't let me leave, even though I demonstrated a minimum of competence in the field. When I discovered my talent for languages, they wouldn't let me change jobs! You want to talk about developing an inferiority complex! The long deployments, the talk about "sea witches" and other...uggh, uggh, uggh! I sympathize with you! The environment is mostly ungodly and your husband will need prayer.
