  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Don't be silly. That's not St. Bernadette in France. It's an imposter and a fake. Didn't you know that God hates Catholics because we're idol worshipping pagans? Any "miracle" that is bestowed upon a Catholic is clearly from Satan.

I have indeed heard that story, by the way. Pretty neat.

Lol. I see that thread about Relics has been getting you just a wee bit. I share in your frustration, but also in your joy in Christ. :)

Sometimes you just have to unsubscribe from certain threads IP. Otherwise I might have been banned from CF a while ago :). People are often scared of what they do not know, and often hate what they fear. Love, peace and prayer are the only answers to this.
Anyway, here we can tell the truth about St. Bernadette, one of many incorruptibles.

What are some other examples of incorruptibles? Any pictures?

Rising Suns, as you know I saw the documentary on Father Solanus, the priest in your avatar. He is not a saint yet but I think he will be. He was given the gift of prophecy, and the gift of healing, and performed thousands of miracles.
They showed the videotape of when they exhumed Fr. Solanus, and when they opened the coffin you can see he was incorruptible. The doctor was astounded! (as they usually are, esp. if they're not Catholic or Orthodox!) I wonder if that footage is available online?

The same thing happened with the Church dedicated to Our Lady of Guadelupe in Mexico. The city was bombed but the church remained intact. This was built where Juan Diego saw the Blessed Virgin.
I heard this story as the bomb was placed in a vase of flowers on the high altar, just below the tilma with Our Lady's image. There was a lot of damage to the altar and the sanctuary, but the tilma remained completely unharmed.

Yes. And the most profound testimonies of Fr. Solanus Casey (and all the saints really) are not only in the miracles, but the fact that the Church had to relocate him a few times because thousands of people were flocking in from around the world to see him and it would interfer with the daily life of the monastery. And he was never in the spotlight at all, but rather a humble dorrkeeper. It's really quite amazing when you think about it.

If I ever met someone like him today, I would move in next door!

If one ever finds such a person in life, it is a true blessing from God.
