WOW! I though my great grandparents were unusual, she was 16 and he was 46 and they went on to have 6 kids too! The only difference is that my gfather already had 2 children with his wife... my g grandmother was their nanny!! It's so long ago now(about 90 years) noone really knows if first wife died or left, what i do know is my great grandparents were never actually marriedFlipper said:My husband is about 14 months older than me.
However, there are lots of marriages in my family with big age differences and they worked. One set of my grandparents were 10 years apart, and I have a few relatives who married people many years older or younger. My great grandmother was 17 when she married my great grandfather, who was 60. They had 6 children, and were married 30 years before he died.
60 and 17.... wow!Flipper said:My great grandmother was 17 when she married my great grandfather, who was 60. They had 6 children, and were married 30 years before he died.
my husband and I are alittle over 5 months apart.Redguard said:What's the difference in age between you and your spouse?
Also, do you think there comes a time when the difference in age causes you to become 'concerned'?
For example, when a 50 yr old man is marrying a 20 yr old woman? (Just an example, not meant to offend any 50 yr old men currently married to 20 yr old women)

There are actually some question like that about my great grandparents too. After my grandma died a couple of years ago, my husband and I went to visit her sister, my great aunt, in Las Vegas. She she told us about how my great grandfather would spend most of his time in New York and would only spend time with them as a family for weeks at a time, with months inbetween the visits. Hmmmmm.charligirl said:WOW! I though my great grandparents were unusual, she was 16 and he was 46 and they went on to have 6 kids too!
