The only way to overcome sin even in your thoughts is to have the mind of Christ and be meditating on His thoughts nonstop. If you let up even 1 second, you may be plagued with the worries of this world and sinful passions that lead to sinful actions. This is why you must be receiving Christ's love 24/7. This is what it means to take every thought captive. Following Christ's commands is the only way. This is God's love.

"But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander. These are what defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile him.” Matthew 15:18-20

"The kingdom of heaven is like a [very precious] treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid again; then in his joy he goes and sells all he has and buys that field [securing the treasure for himself]" Matthew 13:44

In the day of judgement, Christ is going to need to see Himself in you. That's what I know to be true. That's what it means for the Church to be wearing the wedding garment for the bridegroom. Genuine faith.

"But when the king came in to see the guests, he spotted a man who was not dressed in wedding clothes. ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’

But the man was speechless.

Then the king told the servants, ‘Tie him hand and foot and throw him outside into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

For many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:11-14

For as the Father has life in Himself, so also He has granted the Son to have life in Himself. And He has given Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man. The sinner waves reproof aside, he finds an excuse for headstrong behaviour.

A sensible person never scorns a warning; foreigners and the proud do not know about fear.

Never act without reflection, and you will not regret your actions.

Do not venture on a rough road, for fear of stumbling over the stones.

Do not be over-confident on an even road

and beware of your own children.

Watch yourself in everything you do; this is also the way to keep the commandments.

Baptism. FULL immersion in water. There is NO reason NOT to do it. It is the pledge of a clean conscience before God. I don't care what your pastor/church says. Get baptised!

Tolerance is the virtue of the person(s) without convictions.

The 'Lordship Salvation Doctrine' is what Christ calls the small and narrow gate. It's a genuine transformation of heart, mind, and lifestyle. It does not need to be forced by human/carnal willpower. It will operate and flow naturally through the Spirit.
