Will the commendation from men alone suffice, or is it the commendation from God that is the weightier matter? Who is the guarantor of our souls? Can flesh save spirit? Or does Spirit save spirit and flesh?

"“Believe Me, woman,” Jesus replied, “a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”

The woman said, “I know that Messiah (called Christ) is coming. When He comes, He will explain everything to us.”

Jesus answered, “I who speak to you am He.” John 4:21-26

I heard Satan say something to me once. He told me "you need to worry about yourself, and stop worrying about other people". What an odd fellow. Always opposing the good news from his own bitterness deep inside. If Christ had that mindset, we would all be lost forever. Thankfully Christ came to save self-less sinners and not selfish righteous people. Glory.

"I've found in learning to hear God's voice, there is one that stands out amidst the myriad of uncertain thoughts from my environment. A confident and reassuring voice that rings true and brings life. It is important to hone in on His voice through love or the other voices will APPEAR to sound louder and "right".

Presenting your body as a living sacrifice will make sure you become tuned to His voice and not the voice of a stranger, wherever that may come from. Remember, we do not battle flesh and blood, and God does not tempt anyone, nor can He be tempted.

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd, and the sheep are not his own. When he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf pounces on them and scatters the flock. The man runs away because he is a hired servant and is unconcerned for the sheep.

I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them in as well, and they will listen to My voice. Then there will be one flock and one shepherd.

The reason the Father loves Me is that I lay down My life in order to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from My Father.” John 10:11-18

"Hear what the Lord says to you, people of Israel. This is what the Lord says:

“Do not learn the ways of the nations
or be terrified by signs in the heavens,
though the nations are terrified by them.
For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter." Jeremiah 10:1-4

"I will stop all her celebrations: her yearly festivals, her New Moons, her Sabbath days--all her appointed festivals." Hosea 2:11

"I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies." Amos 5:21

"And he carried me away in the power of the spirit into a wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet-colored wild beast that was full of blasphemous names and that had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was clothed in purple+ and scarlet, and she was adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls,+ and she had in her hand a golden cup that was full of disgusting things and the unclean things of her sexual immorality.* On her forehead was written a name, a mystery: “Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes+ and of the disgusting things of the earth.”+ And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus.+ Revelations 17:3-6

"Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues;" Revelations 18:4

The laws in God's Word are for protection, when they are broken I don't understand how people can be confused and blame God for "bad" things. God is not a God of confusion, but of peace.

"“Do not profane your daughter by making her a prostitute, lest the land fall into prostitution and the land become full of depravity." Leviticus 19:29

To name one of many examples.

Why does the world blame God for bad things? They give in to their own temptations all the time and they place accountability on anyone but themselves. The evil desires inside of us need to be purged.

"The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the working of Satan, with every kind of power, sign, and false wonder, and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them. For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie, in order that judgment will come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness." 1 Thessalonians 2:9-12

Funny grace preachers only speaking things people like to hear...why do they call everything "good" without testing it first?

"Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin." Proverbs 13:3

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20

It's because I'm sound in my identity, that I accept all of God's Word and not only the parts that I like to hear. A great many Scriptures are misinterpreted, and then taught and received by millions.

"You believe that God is one. Good for you! Even the demons believe that, and shudder!" James 2:19

"Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in Me does not believe in Me alone, but in the One who sent Me. And whoever sees Me sees the One who sent Me. I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in Me should remain in darkness.

As for anyone who hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not receive My words: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.

I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it. And I know that His command leads to eternal life. So I speak exactly what the Father has told Me to say.” John 12:44-50

"The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14

If they Body of Christ is comprised of many members, you carefully consider what all the members have to say. Regardless of what the hand says, what the feet say, is equally important. Especially if you completely disagree with it. While I have my disagreements with other's theology or interpretation of the Word, I would be a complete fool to dismiss it completely just because I don't believe it to be true. Perhaps we live sheltered lives, it's when I become comfortable, that something is off.

"So the one who thinks he is standing firm should be careful not to fall." 1 Corinthians 10:12 (Context: Warnings from Israel's Past).

"Now brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished. As for those who are agitating you, I wish they would proceed to emasculate themselves!

For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Rather, serve one another in love. The entire Law is fulfilled in a single decree: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out, or you will be consumed by each other." Galatians 5:11-15

"Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created." Genesis 5:2

There may be a "slight" difference between a woman, and a woman from Adam (Man). That's not PC (politically/socially correct), but it's Scriptural, and that's what matters.

Women from Adam are noble. Proverbs 31:10-31 (The wife of noble character). That's marriage material. #Renewalofmind

"Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. And love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us. By this we know that we remain in Him, and He in us: He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.

If anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love; whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him. In this way, love has been perfected among us, so that we may have confidence on the day of judgment; for in this world we are just like Him.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love. We love because He first loved us.

If anyone says, “I love God,” but hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And we have this commandment from Him: Whoever loves God must love his brother as well." 1 John 4:7-21

Temperance- Voluntary self-restraint.

Of all the fruits of the Spirit I observe daily, this is the least common and one of the most important. It comes with maturity.

"If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless." James 1:26

"for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." 2 Timothy 1:7

"Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things.

How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water." James 3:1-12

Keen perception. Integrity. Discernment. Sound mind. Humility. Temperance. Foresight. Good judgement. Relationship. Excellent leadership.

Without which,

Arrogance. Favoritism. Disrespect. Deceptive self-exaltation. Superficiality. False humility. Poor judgement. Charlatan. Tunnel vision. Lackluster leadership.

Prophecy is fluid and confident. It is sincere. It does not demand its own way. It is not rude. It is patient and kind. It is not resentful. It is truthful. It is not arrogant.

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." Philippians 4:8.

Sometimes prophecy can be given on a whim, and received on a whim. That's arbitrary and unstable. We should strive to hear and act on God's voice, not our own meandering thoughts.

"Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city." Proverbs 16:32

"“Who is it he is trying to teach?
To whom is he explaining his message?
To children weaned from their milk,
to those just taken from the breast?
For it is:
Do this, do that,
a rule for this, a rule for that ;
a little here, a little there.”
Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues
God will speak to this people,
to whom he said,
“This is the resting place, let the weary rest”;
and, “This is the place of repose”—
but they would not listen.
So then, the word of the Lord to them will become:
Do this, do that,
a rule for this, a rule for that;
a little here, a little there—
so that as they go they will fall backward;
they will be injured and snared and captured.
Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you scoffers
who rule this people in Jerusalem.
You boast, “We have entered into a covenant with death,
with the realm of the dead we have made an agreement.
When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by,
it cannot touch us,
for we have made a lie our refuge
and falsehood our hiding place.” Isaiah 28:9-15

"Now if the ministry of death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at the face of Moses because of its fleeting glory, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry of righteousness! Indeed, what was once glorious has no glory now in comparison to the glory that surpasses it. For if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which endures!

Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at the end of what was fading away.

But their minds were closed. For to this day, the same veil remains at the reading of the old covenant. It has not been lifted, because only in Christ can it be removed. And even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:7-18

"Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? You yourselves are our letter, inscribed on our hearts, known and read by everyone. It is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Such confidence before God is ours through Christ. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim that anything comes from us, but our competence comes from God. And He has qualified us as ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." 2 Corinthians 3:1-6

Blessings in Christ.

Joy is greater than happiness. Happiness gives way TO the worries of the world. Joy makes a way THROUGH the worries of the world. The Joy of the Lord.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." James 1:12

Be blessed with Joy in the new year.

Allowing God's light to flow through our bodies is much less elaborate than the world paints it to be. When the music fades. When the crowd dissipates. When the religious celebrities leave. Does that make God's presence any lesser in effectiveness?

I know it's especially effective when contrasted to death and decay. We can bring His light with us to the places that have none. That is worship in Spirit and Truth. The Lord will answer when you call to Him.

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16

"You can be sure of this: The LORD set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him." Psalm 4:3
