Spiritual connection?

Do you believe that some relationships have a spiritual connection/spiritual bond?

It doesn't have to be a romantic relationship, but you meet someone/know someone and you just know there's something deeper.

For example, I have a spiritual connection/bond to my son but not to my daughter. I love them both, of course, but there's something more to my knowing him.

It's like you "get" them and they "get" you. It doesn't happen very often. I can name only about 5 people I've had this kind of connection with in my lifetime, my son included.

Most of the time, it's definitely not a one-sided thing - the other person feels it too.

Yes I do believe that as well. I felt that with my husband and I suspect that is why I have a hard time thinking about dating anyone else since his death. Not that he wouldn't want me to, I think he would, but I also believe in Eternity so I know that even though he is no longer on this Earth, he is still very much alive in the spirit. And I have also felt this connection with a few of my friends and they with me. Since there is so much going on in the spirit we don't "see" right now, I think there is alot of "spiritual" connections that we don't "see" either.

I have 2 men in my life that have been with me before in other lives...
Dray...who for lack of a better term has always been in my service...whether as a guardian or as a priest...interstingly enough our totems are dragons...and that too has remained constant in our incarnations...

the other...has been my mate in 2 previous lives...one in which he watched me burn at the stake as a witch (probably true...most of my witchiness even today resides in herbalism and healing), and in the way prior life in ancient persia...

so yeah...that spiritual connection is there...and remains pretty solid.

Well as a christian, I believe in a spiritual connection, but of a different kind. I don't happen to believe in reincarnation.

Hi Gwenyfur,
What an interesting post! I don't have any conciousness of a previous live and don't see the Bible teaching that. So I've not beleived that. Nor does reincarntion make any sense to me. My GF found reincarnation answered some of her questions around justice.

As I was thinking further about your posts a question came to me.
Why do you see your relationship with these two people as a spiritual connection? If I understand your relationship now and in the past its a human to human connection. What do you think makes it a spiritual connection.

Even in the pagan realm...the odds of us finding each other in each life is rare...
and yet we do...
we very nearly share the same brain...in some conversations you'd very seriously thing we'd been married forever LOL

We do finish sentences, we know instictively where the other is going in ritual...even if it's silent, we know when one or another is hurting, in need, in trouble...yes...that's partly our use of magicks...but also...we just ... know...

Often we've been teased by Dray's spouse (a very blessed empath) that if she couldn't win an argument with her husband before we reconnected...she was never going to win another ever again...too many of us think with the same brain and love with the same heart...and yes...each of us would lay down our lives for her safety and well being...she's that special of a person...
