I own them both. I must admit that I like them (the reason I own them....). In both of the movies there are parts I could live without and there are cheesy parts. But thats what makes it good! They remind me of comic books almost (not like I really read comic books, sadly).

'Spider-Man I saw it five times and 'Spider-Man 2' I saw it four times at the movies. They are both incredible. I think Part II is better than the first one.

First one was ok, nothing spectacular about it. It's the sequal that delivers all the goods.

I wish I had the comic books. I saw the show when I was younger. I'd also have to agree that the second one is better than the first one.

I'd have to agree. It seemed like it was too long for the amount of things that occurred.

I haven't read the comics, so what will happen with Harry's discovery of the Goblin equipment? If you know, please don't reveal too much since it may play a part in Spiderman 3.

SM1 was good...SM2 was great. I pray they make 3 or 4 more!

There are always the Marvel Masterworks--a series of books containing reprints of the first 60 to 70 issues of the comic books; they're pricey, but they're cheaper than getting the original comics.

What happened in the movies doesn't necessarily mean they happened in the original materials. I haven't read the comics, so I don't know if there's something in the comics about Harry breaking a mirror and discovering his father's goblin lair.

Seen them both, and I liked the second better. Why they felt the need to delve into Spiderman's history in the first movie when it was likely 95% fans that went to see it was beyond me. If people didn't know who he was they probably only went to the movie because all the other sheep did.

well obviously he will will become the green goblin

though frankly i would prefer if they didnt use him and instead went the jackal instead

but then again that wouldnt fit in with the timelines now though and i think everyone is sick of clones these days

i doubt we would ever see venom of carnage on the big screen considering the direction of the previous two movies
and i hope to god never to see the rhino, the shocker, electro, and all the other villians.

the way he found out about spidermans identity as i recall was harry found one of peters costumes in his apartment or something

I could tell that from reading the subtitles on SM2 that talk about the comics and movies. It talked about Dr. Octopus being a prisoner and Aunt May saying she liked him. I was just afraid that if someone gave away what happens with Harry in the comics then it might give away something about the next movie.

I saw bot of them at the theater and now my son owns both DVD's. I agree with previous posters that the second one was better. The first one was also a great movie.
