I did it with 25dates.com. Much like online dating really, easier then finding a date in a supermarket.

I think it wouldn't work for me. First, I am known for making terrible first impressions (sometimes, I think, deliberately 
), but turning things around (before I decide to utterly destroy the relationship). Second, meeting, and talking to, many women in a short time period would be incredibly emotionally draining for me. A lot of women are big phonies when meeting someone. 
Why would I choose to suffer that repeatedly?
One more thing. Why I am receptive to online personals but not speed dating is because a lot of "woman filtering" can go on before communication. Unless speed dating has something similar, I feel as though I would be wasting my time talking to women I would never be interested in. That is like punishment to me.

Sounds like fun. Way to meet a lot of people in a short period of time. Then you can pick the ones that are most interesting to you.
The other factor that I like is that you KNOW everyone there is interested in meeting people. Not like work, or church, where you don't really know if someone is in a relationship or not pursuing or whatever.

you get 3 to 8 minutes and you are not making a do or die choice.. just exchanging emails.
I found after about 5 questions, I was able to weed through a lot.

Well, the point isn't necessarily to choose a boyfriend or girlfriend out of the pack, though - it's more to meet someone that you have things in common with and find attractive, and then you can go out on proper dates with them.
