Yeah and then in 2020, when everyone forgets the date, they push it back to 2050.

In case you people forgot:
SpaceX, Boeing on Track to Launch Astronauts in 2017: NASA

Meanwhile deceiving the rest of the masses into thinking there is no God.

Well, keep in mind that SpaceX has successfully sent a capsule to the space station and returned it safely to Earth already. Had their capsule not blown up while testing the emergency escape system, I think we'd already see astronauts in space via SpaceX.

Assuming the last round to capsule testing goes off without a hitch, SpaceX should be on track to put people into space early next year. I'm almost glad they had a mishap during the testing phase of the escape system. It will result in a safer system.

It would have been horrific if actual people had depended on the previous safety system, only to have it blow up when they most needed it to save them.

NASA has experienced it's share of mishaps as well, and some of them have resulted in human casualties. It's far better that these kinds of catastrophic failures happen during the testing phase and they slow down long enough to ensure that it's as safe as possible. Space travel will always be dangerous due to the hostile nature of space and rockets in general, but SpaceX has made consistent progress over the years.

Boeing is another matter entirely. :(
