Well said. NATO was meant to be an unshakable bedrock - but Trump can't stop whining about a few dollars like it's personal or something. His support base lap this up to their shame! Everyone in an alliance with the former USA are now wondering what this unstable man will do next!? Wreck 5 eyes? Aukus? He didn't even seem to know what that was - and Australia has signed a contract worth tens of billions in submarines, base upgrades and other kit.

Is Trump going to somehow wreck that? Are we going to get our kit? Our money's worth?

Putin is overwhelmed with joy--Trump is stubbornly pushing towards the dismantling of the 80-year-old, postwar legal rule-based order. It will be a disaster for the world if it happens but apparently that's what Trump wants. But hey - he deported 11 Venezuelans and 5 Bolivians; that has to count for something, right?
