Who's heard "Cot dang" or "That's a doosie"? :D
I'll attempt a translation on the "cot dang" one.

I'm assuming that is yet another degraded version of "god dang" which stands for something...blasphemous!

I just take "that's a doosie" at face value! I think I use that one myself sometimes.

doosie has it's roots in phrases like Woop-tee-do, (big party, production, gala) and ideas of one upping your neighbor or to out-do as we say.

Does any one here use "Cut out" the lights?

I admit it had been awhile since I heard flatfooting (other than as a reference to a police officer), but the other two are pretty regular occurrences around the river...

Or "cut off" the computer? ;) If I don't say that to my customers in NC, they won't understand me!

Y'all should be an expert on "Tar" as well.

4 "Tars" goe on your car--the substance that coats the road or that is hard to remove from your car is "tire".

Oh Bless your heart, She is the closest pic I could find to resemble my own little darlin--I don't have a digital camera or dock...

I'd have to tell you the story about how I got her--she came extra with the ugly cats. I said we should have named ner Extra cause of that. We have two cats who fell out of the ugly tree and hit every limb on the way down, bless their, hearts, that we got from a friends cousin on the other side of the river. Got em to deter the snakes...They had resucued (stolen ) this dog from an abuser who was mad at her cause she weren't no fighter (She's part pit), and they just didn't want to see her done thataway. I fell in love with her at first site and begged DH to let me have her. Now she owns us both. I wish there was an awwwwe smilie..Would you be a dear and go over to the armor requests thread and ask for one?

Does anyone know the difference between
a shade and a tad or a hair?(All forms of southern measurement)
How about "a piece" like "Oh, it's down the road a piece." :)
Or "slap." As in "We're slap out of bread."
