A Southerner knows that "fixin" can be used as a noun, a verb, or an adverb.

YES! My northerner relatives always make fun of us when we say "Fixin", like "It's okay, we're fixin' to leave."

It's okay though, I'd rather say "Y'all" than "Youse guys" any day.

I once used kicking butt and taking names and some people didn't get it.

Examples:

I fount you something at the yard sales yesterday...

Went out there yesterday and the truck would not crank for the love of spit, the wife got in her this morning, headed to them yard sales and she crunk rite up
