  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I personally do not like the show (putting it lightly lol). It's ungodly. It makes light of Jesus, is blasphemous, and vulgar. My hubby on the other hand, does like the show because it's "funny"

. I won't watch it if it's playing and it does not play here at all if our daughter is awake.

It's a hit and miss series, especially of late. I find that most political episodes are at most viewable once, but most episodes that parody other films, tv shows, etc. usually end up being priceless. It doesn't seem to matter what the quality of the original was either, since the parody of You Got Served was not far beyond the one of Great Expectations (my favorite episode, by the way. But I suppose it wouldn't be half as funny to anyone who hadn't of read the book).

Anyone like the show South Park? it's one of my favorite animated shows, it's hilarious. I think Cartman is the best character.
Cartman is absolutely hilarious!

I've always found it really funny - even though it crosses the line quite a lot - and I admired the creators, too, for making fun of the values they disagreed with like that. Parody is good.

It's a crude and nasty show...that is very smartly done. It's witty and low-brow at the same time. And it hits every topic you can think of. It's one of those guilty pleasures, I think.

OH my gosh, they killed kenny!!!!!!! YOU___________!!

Thats exactly what it is. I used to dislike it, alot. I thought it was vulgar and disgusting. And it was. Only a year ago did I start to really enjoy the genius of the humor. It tackles more important issues than any show out there, and is arguably my favorite show, except maybe The Family Guy.

Well, i know I might get a few glares...but I don't agree with South Park. I mean, what you put into someone is what you'll get out. If people constantly are surrounded with watching shows like that...don't you think that maybe they'll act/treat people like that, or even have that mentality of being rude? idk, just my say and thoughts.

If they are weak minded or easily influenced, then sure. That's why it's not a good show for people who are not adults or the maturity of an adult. But those who are sound in who they are can watch it and laugh, without it influencing how they treat others.

I can respect that I really can....but I think if people imitate it, then they don't understand the humor and irony that the show is really all about.
