The information about Covid has been spotty and inconsistent from the start of the pandemic. I don't blame people for being skeptical, or feeling like they don't know who to trust, or what information is accurate and what isn't.
And no, I'm not a Covid denier.
An island.
Name a country that isn't geographically isolated that's doing as well as Taiwan.
No...it's not. It's far easier to shut down people crossing your borders when you're an island.
The only real exception here is S Korea and people crossing that border risk being shot.
Do you honestly think it's a coincidence that Taiwan, New Zealand, and Australia all fared better?
Laos: 24 cases. 0 deaths.
Thailand. Laos. Vietnam.
And ironically enough, China.
South Dakota averages about 2-3 deaths per day in the whole state since this pandemic started and she somehow has many people telling her it's all fake as they take their last breath? Ok
Gullible and foolish people that have spent 4 years being manipulated by Trump. In their dying moments, it would simply be too overwhelming for them to acknowledge they were conned.
Laos: 24 cases. 0 deaths.
That's fair...countries nobody is going to visit during a pandemic are probably going to do well.
Just look at Turkmenistan...
Coronavirus: Why has Turkmenistan reported no cases?
No cases at all!
You asked. I answered, along with a few others. You rejected. Predictable. Just say, "Ok, I was wrong about that point." and move on.
China. Vietnam. Thailand.
Yes, please, let's start insulting millions of people based on their political views. Because that totally is on point with the OP's topic and will definitely make everyone change their viewpoint to align with yours.Gullible and foolish people that have spent 4 years being manipulated by Trump. In their dying moments, it would simply be too overwhelming for them to acknowledge they were conned.
Given how fast COVID took off that's hardly surprising. However things have long since settled down, information is pretty consistent now, and the actions required to slow the rate of spread are well documented.
What is bizarre is how some people still cling to the "it's just the flu" narrative, or outright refuse to believe it exists, simply because it suits their political world view.
I guess it depends on one's definition of "pretty consistent" or what sources people get their information from. I still see a lot of conflicting and inconsistent info.
I don't think it's too bizarre for people to refuse to believe it exists if they haven't had any firsthand encounters with it. It's unfortunate, but I can understand it.
Most of the conflicting and inconsistent info appears to be coming from politicians.
China. Vietnam. Thailand.
Not the information that I'm referring to. It's coming from doctors and researchers.
