Nope sorry and we don't view her as a supernun. That's a caricatureof the CC view.

We don't see her a a super nun.

Peace
You are wrong, as per usual. Adelphoi means brothers in that context. That means Mary had children and was not Supernun, the absurd claims of your church notwithstanding.

Adelphoi could mean a whole lot of different things and we do not see her nor describer her as a supernun. That's a caricature of our belives.

But please feel free to be as disrespectful as you feel you have to be.

Not in the context of the New Testament where Jesus' brothers are referred to.

You may not describe Mary that way but it is properly descriptive of the RC view of her.

Of course, there is also the following devastating verse:

Matthew 1:25

25but had no marital relations with her until she had borne a son; and he named him Jesus.

kai ouk eginwsken (5707) authn ewv ou eteken (5627) uion; kai ekalesen (5656) to onoma autou Ihsoun.

Like I said, Mary was not Supernun! She eventually had marital relations with Joseph and was not, therefore, a perpetual virgin, despite the false teaching of the RCs and EOs.

Where is do the Scriptures mention the Second born of Mary or Third evt..? They don't because they weren't any.

Also genealogy is traced through the father in Jewish custom. There are no mentions Joseph's other sons while being married to Marry.

Then we are in agreement because calling her a supernun would not be an accurate description of Mary.

That is, of course, a non sequitur.

Adelphoi refers to children of the same mother.

Let's get back to the OP. There isn't scriptural evidence either way. Trying to say there is just silly and not even worth discussing. This is a matter of tradition. If you claim to have no tradition, then I believe the best you can say is I don't know. If you have tradition, then what is the source? I believe that there was not a widespread tradition of non-ever virgin until after the Reformation. There were a few quotes early in the thread reference Tertullian and maybe St John Chrysostom, but these were not very convincing. So, what is the source of your tradition on Mary?

Since the Holy Spirit revealed this and worked through the Church by this Ecumenical Council, I am obligated to believe it.

In light of the error of the papacy and its councils, this is presumptuousness. How should it ever be received as something lead by the Holy Spirit except by willful ignorance born in fear.

Considering all things Jesus Christ, what does it matter?

you forgot to list the other words for brother, and the cultural and biblical use of the term; per your argument, many of the Churches Paul wrote to contained only Paul's male siblings as membership.
Context is important. Also, there is a Greek word for "cousin" and it appears in the New Testament. If Jesus' brothers were really "cousins" then that word would have been used. It was not because Mary had other children.

your statement does not prove that the children mentioned were Mary's natural children, though.

if the term cousin were used consistently, then John the Baptist would have been referred to as Jesus' cousin, as their mothers were cousins.

Why did Mary, the mother of Christ, have a sister named Mary ?

Here is an interesting story online:
Assumptions About Mary
By T.L. Frazier:

T.L. Frazier is a convert from Evangelicalism/Fundamentalism to the Catholic Church. Some of you may find this article interesting. I did.
