  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Sounds Fun

Do You Make a Good First Impression? and why?
Are You a Pushover?
do you think you are street smart? or book smart?
what blood type are you?

First Impressions- Honestly I don't at all LOL I am very very shy and uncomfortable in new positions and around new people and tend to be very guarded. I also lived alone in Dallas for two years and felt for my safety it was better to stay withdrawn than get involved in situations I knew nothing about. I think for first impressions, I probably come off very weird and mean or cold. It's not intentional, I think it's just my own way of protecting myself from a bad situation or an uncomfortable one.

Pushover- Umm.. Yes LOL I am very much a pushover. It is something I have been trying for years to break free of but I haven't been able to yet. In fact, I'd have to admit I'm an extremely easy pushover lol.

Street Smart or Book Smart- Umm.. I'd think a little of both. I look at things very realistically (sometimes too much so) but I also pull a lot of my logic and reasoning from things I've read about or learned book wise along the way.

Blood Type- So sad to know but I honestly have no clue..

I welcome questions anytime. My thread is "A Unique Perspective"

What is your favorite dessert?

Who has most inspired you in life?

If you have heroes, who are they?

Hmm dessert- I absolutely love cheesecake! I don't think I have a specific favorite though. I go through phases where I crave ice cream, then something sweeter like cake or cheesecake, then chocolates or fudges.. Chocolate dipped strawberries.. mmmm..

Inspiration- I would have to say my mother and grandfather. They are the two most giving, hard working people I have ever met in my life, and the most faithful. Though I don't always see eye to eye with them, their willingness to help others in need, no matter what, and their blind faith that everything is in Gods hands is extremely inspiring. And yet they both have the spirit of a 13 year old! Neither of them will ever grow old.

Heroes- I think my mom and grandpa are sort of heroes in the same was as they are inspiring. I was never really one to have "heroes" as I was taught to be very much independent and of my own free will, not to follow in someone elses footsteps unless they were my own in the making.

Do you celebrate Halloween?

I don't think I'd call it celebrating. More like using it as an excuse to gather chocolate, dress up, get scared a time or two and maybe even sit down for a scary movie lol. And with a little one in the house now it's all about making her absolutely adorable in something she doesn't already wear. This year it's a neon green and white striped joker/dancer outfit, so cute!

◘ How did you find ForU.ms?
○ What is your favorite board?
◘ Why did you decide to make a FTB thread?
○ Do you enjoy getting blessings? How about reps?
◘ Do you have a ForU.ms job? Do you have a bank account?

Finding ForU.ms- I actually found this when it was CF, just hadn't been on in about a year and lost my old account.

Favorite board- Well I'm a photography nut so I'd have to say even though it's not the most active, I check it constantly, moreso than others.

Making a FTB thread- I think because I thought it would be a good way to meet some people. In all truthfullness, I'm as horrible as joining and participating in forums as I am joining and participating in a real conversation. I lurk.. a lot, but I never get involved much and I was hoping to change that somehow.

Blessings and Reps- Of course! Though I have to admit I often feel guilty for gifts because those are hard earned! It's often very difficult to express the gratitude as well.

ForU.ms job and bank account- Job no. I have a real job that takes up far too much of my life to have a job on here lol. I frequent an online RPG as well where I do have a job and was close to working with the development team but haven't even been able to log in for a month. :(
Bank account- Heh.. for the first time ever I have to say I like shopping? I don't have an account right now because every time I get enough to put in, I go spend it LOL I really, really, really do not like shopping in real life.. but here it's adicting!

Reality show- Yikes! Lol no, I can't say I'd ever be on one. For one, I'm far, far too shy for that and two, just not my cup of tea lol.

Meat- Hmm.. I have to admit, growing up on a farm, we are meat eaters. I love chicken and beef and pork and fish. I don't think I have a favorite though..

Lost power- Play cards of course! Lol we lose power at our place at least once per summer and once per winter (blizzards). Sometimes we would be out of power for a few days. Other than just changing the way we use water, cook and sleeping patterns (lots more time to sleep without appliances).. nothing would really change. We play a lot of cards when the power is out. But the animals still have to be fed and life still goes on. It's actually a forceful way for some peace and quiet from technology, which I think I really need sometimes.

Voting- I haven't yet no, but I'll check it out! hehe

And I'll check out the job thing too, thanks!!

Ooh cartoons! Lets see.. we used to watch the Teenage Mutian Ninja Turtles lol and as a very little child, My Little Pony. I'm not sure I can remember the rest of them..

We did watch on Saturday mornings haha! They don't have cartoons now like they used to. We had a rule even, first one downstairs picks the cartoons. Umm.. oh yeah, we watched Saved by the Bell too and the Smurfs.

Still watching? I think if they had cartoons now like they did back then I might. Now it's not the same Saturday mornings.. Disappointing really.

Producing Studio? Honestly I have no idea who produced any of them. The only one I do know is one of the artist/storyboard artists for things like Scooby Doo, the Smurfs, the Angry Beaver and a huge list of others. But that's because I grew up playing with his kids as he lives a couple miles from my grandparents lol.

Animated movies? Honestly I'd have to say I'd prefer computer animation or hand drawn. I'm definately not a fan of the claymation. Not sure why but it's just really strange to me. I don't think I quite have a favorite animation to be honest. Of course with movies there's tons of Disney and Pixar hehe.

◘ How would you feel about your country having free health care for all of its citizens? What would the positive aspects be? The negative aspects?

Trained teachers? No, I don't think they should still be allowed to carry arms at the school for several reasons. First, what kind of message is that going to send to students? You're talking about the most impressionable people on earth. Regardless if the teacher is trained, 20+ years older and fully capable of being responsible, all the student will see is that guns are ok. Age will not play a factor, pretty soon that student is carrying one to school because their role model does. Second reason is accidents. No matter how trained you are, kids find everything and accidents happen. It's just not a good plan.

Parents responsible? That is a very hard question. I think it would really depend on the situation. I think the parenting in this country has really sort of taken a side step where parents aren't really there as parents like they should be. Kids are learning from peers, school, what they do when no one is home, not the parents that could be there teaching them right from wrong. And I know too that some kids, for whatever reason, even with all the parenting in the world, still are going to do horrible things. It's sad but it's true.

Russia and the North Pole? I'm sorry but that land already belongs to tiny little men in green suits and pointed shoes.

High Profile Princes? My take is, if it's their choice, they're people just like the rest of us aren't they? I find it commendable that a high profile prince in this day even would want to go to war. The rich and famous have not exactly made self-sacrifice on the top of their list. They have taken their name and used it for a safety net and don't quite serve like the rest. Then again, this has been going on for thousands of years. If they feel so compelled to go to war for their country, it's their choice like any other isn't it?

Free healthcare? As someone that hasn't had healthcare in about 5 years, I'd say it's great! Honestly, I can't afford healthcare, even offered by my workplace. The cost of living is too high to take more from my checks for a service I may only use once a year, if that. I think this country might be a lot more healthy because of it, quality of life would improve. On the negative side though would be the cost to the government and what other taxes or penalties would we encounter to cover this.. Viscious cycle.

Yeep, ok, went out of town for a while so here's what I would have said that day:
Ready for Christmas? Always! Just not actually..
Have you gotten your shopping done? I had one of 10 gifts done..
How many presents do you have under the tree? Tree? Don't have a tree here, that's at my parents house. I think I had about 5 gifts to me, most of what's under our tree is for everyone else. :)
