Soujiro!!!

Soujiro is, in my opinion, the greatest swordsman of all time. The only reason Kenshin could beat him is because he caused a mental breakdown for Soujiro in the middle of their fight. He could easily beat Shishio, except Soujiro is very loyal to him.

I know most other people think the same thing, and I would like to hear any other views on the matter.

No, not really... Kenshin won on his own strength in most of the fights. I haven't seen the third story arc, but the only fights that Kenshin didn't really win because of his own abilities were against Saitoh (the fight was interupted), Soujiro (mental breakdown), and Shishio (overheated and spontaneously combusted).

Yep. That was cool, but it was weird too.

I'm pretty sure most body organs would seize functioning long before the body got hot enough to combust...

And I would think combustion would happen before evaporation.

You've got to love a character with LITERALLY no emotions. Even though Kenshin messed that up, he still PWNS all the other bad guys... and good guys, for that matter.

This was in the "Best Bad Guy" thread, but I think it should be responded to here, rather than go off topic in that thread.

A) Soujiro does HAVE emotions, he just wasn't capable of EXPRESSING them.

B) Soujiro was a bad guy, but after Kenshin defeats him, he's difficult to categorize as "good" or "bad." He went on a journey to search for his own truth. He could potentially be an ally of Kenshin in the future.

But he still is better than everyone else. I agree with you there.
