Father we thank you for Tim and Pamela's conversion, for the gift of their faith and for their zealous love for your lost children, including this man who is threatening them and their loved ones. I pray for your protection over all of them Lord; I pray that you send extra guardian angels to keep them safe. I also pray for a heightened awareness on their parts of the goings on around them, both on earth and in the heavenlies.
I pray for your mercy on this man who is stalking them. I pray that you penetrate the stone around his heart and perform one of your wonderful miracles to break or soften it. I pray that he sees Your light and asks truly for your forgiveness.
I thank you for the gift of these people and for their friendship here in cyberland.
I pray this in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

I hope you guys have contacted the authorities! I will continue to keep you AND him in prayer.

That's good news. I was actually going to suggest that you keep a small tape recorder handy by your phone for just that reason.

I had a long, difficult day today. I craved a drink today for the first time in a lonnnnnnng time.

Got up at 5:00 a.m. to go into the "big city" to give my formal testimony to the Marriage Tribunal at the diocese. (I am seeking to have my first marriage annulled so I can become Catholic, receive Eucharist and have my marriage to my present husband consecrated.) We have an hour and a half drive and then a ferry to catch so it makes for a long day. Packed up a lunch for everyone, Lloyd came too - made sure Meaghan had snacks, juice, books, dolls, a change of clothes (which she needed before 11 a.m. and the appointment wasn't even until 2!)
So we went to Toys R Us first because there's only one toy store where we live and everything's made out of wood and costs an arm and a leg.
So of course Meaghan basically had a religious experience basking in all the glorious toys.

We went to a Catholic store after that and finally got a proper Catholic Bible and a few other things so Lloyd and I had OUR religious experience.

Got to the diocese after that and had to give my formal testimony to the priest there and some woman who was there observing, going for her Master's in Canon Law.

Well, I got there early and we started early which was a good thing because I felt like I didn't get to finish what I had to say.

It was so much harder than I thought it was going to be, re-hashing the miserable experiences of my youth and the farce that was my first marriage. Re-visiting my stupidity and lack of spiritual, and emotional depth was even harder. I felt like I was being interrogated, I really did. I felt so stupid. I felt sick to my stomach.

The end of my testimony was rushed because Father had another appointment at 3 so I didn't even get to relay how important my relationship with Christ is to me now. I was in the middle of my "miracle speech" when he cut me off. I wasn't able to convey how much I understand how important the ties of matrimony are now and how very much my present husband and I want to take part in the Eucharist.
I'm going to call tomorrow because I need them to know that.

Anyway, when I was finished, I felt like someone beat the tar out of me. I felt drained. I felt like having a rye and coke. Big time.

It's also the anniversary of the day that I gave up my son Lance Michael to abortion. 22 years ago today.

We got home at 8:00, can you believe that? Meg in bed at 9, me still on the computer at 10. I gotta go to bed. Now.

I did end up calling the priest back the next day and telling him what I wanted to say but he told me that it wasn't neccessary and that he had all the information that he needed.
He also indicated that things looked positive for me so that made it completely worth it for me to call back AND to go through the interview the day before.

Thanks for your prayers folks. I want this so badly. I want so much to become Catholic and receive the Eucharist. I never needed Christ so much as I do now. I'm battling my anger like a beast these days. My daughter's future depends on me overcoming this or at least dealing with it in a more positive manner. This is harder for me than quitting smoking was, harder than quitting drinking, harder than any of the myriad of things that Christ has helped me to overcome.
This goes down DEEP to my core. To where I dealt with my mum's anger as a child. It's so hard to reprogram yourself but I am bloody well determined to do it. I have to. Any time you pray for me folks, pray for me to have awareness of my anger when it surfaces. Pray for victory!

I want you to know I am really praying for you in regards to your anger issues. I really admire how determined you are to overcome it. You are a fighter! I also know what it is like to want to "reprogram yourself" for the sake of your child. It is the hardest thing to do. I am experiencing that with my son too. For me it's overcoming a negative, depressed attitude that I don't want to pass on to him......You will be victorious because you are so determined and you have Christ on your side. I have been wanting to let you know this for awhile now and it seems every time I try to post this something comes up. I am rooting for you Paula!!!

Amen girlfriend- same for you. You will be victorious also because of Christ and because you WANT better and are TRYING and DOING better for Drew. Thanks so much for letting me know that you are warring for me in the heavenlies!
