  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You guys, I am SO lost. I am a junior at a university, just got here...and I can't stand it...I don't like my major (Urban Studies) but I do well in it and understand it, but that is not good enough for me...I can't stand it! I have 3 semesters left if I stick with it but I really don't like it and don't wish to stick with it...HOWEVER...I've been taking inventory of myself...I get bored easily, I LOVE music, writing, and working with electronics & computers...any suggestions? Oh yeah...prayers would be greatly appreciated! In the meantime, I'm taking a semester to take classes at the community college and kinda see what I like there...

You might consider going into some sort of theater tech program with an English minor or something. :)

How well do you really like music? If you're considering a music major/minor, think long and hard: you will have theory, ear training, and lessons, among other things.
