Technically, I'm not single. I'm engaged. HOWEVER, I used to post here a long time ago under the name of lilacs_87 (or something like that). Had a LOT of friends. (Hello to anyone who remembers me!! Oh wait, no one? Ok, carry on. )

Time passed, things happened, long story short: I stopped coming around.

Now, I got bored and decided I'd see what was going on over in this neck of the woods, maybe see how many people I used to talk to are still hanging around. Only problem is... I'm now engaged. So I'm not technically allowed to post here.

So.... am I forever banned from this forum? Because all the others are SUUUUUUUUUUPER dead. The courting couples forum doesn't get much activity at ALL. This thread is MUCH more fun!!!

not intending to be rude, but well not only your name changes, your lifestyle does as well, there's the boards of young adults as well that seems suitable for young people under any circumstances, it just happens to be a bit less popular

I don't mind you staying around, as long as we suddenly don't get swarmed by married/engaged people talking about their marital problems all over the place, that would pretty much kill these boards and their purpose for sure

I think you should be fine posting here until you marry.
In fact, I think the strict prohibition that separates the relationship status precludes people from sharing great advice, when asked, when we read thread titles on the main "New Posts" board that are appearing in forums we're not allowed to share in.

Married people probably have a lot of good advice for singles, or serious daters. Etc...
But in any case, welcome!

London is amazing. I hope you get to go. I left for uni a week early so I could spend like 4 or 5 days just wandering around the city. I fell in love. I'm hoping to go back for a weekend trip soon. Well as soon as the weather gets better. Maybe in the spring.

I have a dear friend who lives in Brighton and she absolutely HATES London with a passion. Hahaha . I'm hoping to one day get to go visit her, but she's having the hardest time ever right now trying to get all the paperwork and legal stuff situated to get her soon-to-be husband legally over there. (He's from Oklahoma).

I'm glad I don't have to go through all that rubbish, but guys with lovely English accents are always nice. (So long as I can understand them and they don't speak all that Cockney rhyming slang. Hahaha)

There are quite a few of my friends here that don't like London. And yet other Brits love it. I guess it's a bit like big cities in America. Either you love it or you hate it. I loved it. All of it.

I love all of the different accents! It's interesting being in a room of like 10 English and Welsh people and they all have different accents. Yet all of the accents are "British".

I love all the accents too! I just have a very hard time understanding what the Cockneys are saying. LOL. The only rhyming terms I've learned are "Adam and Eve it", and my friend called me a "septic tank" instead of a Yank. I'm not sure if I was supposed to laugh, or be insulted. (She called me that because she supports Liverpool, and I tend to devote myself to ManU. Hahaha)
