The anti-biotics quote is one that opens up a can of worms. Silence doesn't imply consent - just a lack of time to deal with it. Its a silly reasoning, but I don't have time to answer everything.

I've also stopped answering particular posters. Some folks seem to just want to argue and score "points". There are others who are willing to have reasonable respectful dialogue. I think by only engaging folks that want to talk, over time the whole place improves. (but then of course, new folks or old folks come in... <grin>) Unfortunately, this happens for both TEs and YECs. I'm sure the TEs get tired of being told they're not saved, just as much as we get tired of being told we're stupid.

To tell you the truth I see very little of that. I'm not not saying it doesn't occur, but those type of accusations are few and far between. There is a lot of behavior around here that could open a door for someone to question their salvation; I just refuse to openly entertain that discussion because that is something personal between them and God. However that doesn't mean I have to participate in those discussions. I'm just ready to be around some other like minded believers, I'm not interested in telling other 'believers' that the Bible is God's Word and for them to ridicule that foundational Truth. If I was looking for that type of discussion I'd be over in C&E or maybe an Episcopal church leadership meeting.

In this thread which touched on biblical innerancy I declared that I held to the Chicago Statement on Biblica Innerancy and while this was trumpeted a breakthrough of sorts I was surprised that no interest was shown in how I could hold to Biblical innerancy and still accept Evolution as God's method of creating biodiversity. I was, and am still, baffled by this lack of interest.

I'm sure the TEs get tired of being told they're not saved, just as much as we get tired of being told we're stupid.

That's not very often the case. However it is more often the case that I'm told I don't believe the Bible or don't trust God, which is hardly much better don't you think.

Sometimes its not a lack of interest - but more a lack of time or energy.
