Something Wicked This Way Comes

Aden heard footsteps behind him. "Earth's Fury." Something sharp jabbed up against the back of his neck. "First alien contact," he said, "a creature has poked me in the neck." The creature asked a question in a way that gave Aden the distinct impression that it was humanoid, which in turn meant that the object poking him was probably not alive. He responded, "I am Aden. What are you?" He then jumped forward, rolled around on the ground and came back up a distance away. A sand golem lay beheaded on the ground. The object was most definitely a weapon; Earth's Fury had apparently thwarted an attempt to kill him with it. "A person, not in league with the evil. Very good. Tell me, am I wasting my time in going to the village to the west? Can you tell me everything I need to know to go kill the evil person?"

Nami hissed at the word evil, "Towards the west is nothing but water, my good sir. Towards the east however is my village if you wished to go there," she arched a brow at him when he said to kill the evil. "You wish to kill Lady Ivy as well?" she asked, sheathing her sword. "Then you are definetely of the good side that is left, come with me," she said, motioning towards the mountain and sliding down the side of it, grabbing a rock and stopping, "My name is Nami by the way."

Aden looked speculatively at the side of the mountain, then chanted "Atmosphere Thickening," three times. He then took a running leap off the side and broke his fall with a cushion of wind.
((Until someone dispells the Atmosphere Thickening, all air-based magic is eight times as powerful.))

((Gotcha)) She slid down until she reached the ground, taking a step and howling softly, the gaurdians of the city backing away with their bows down. This village was very heavily gaurded for it yielded magic only the Witch Ivy would crave. Leading him to it, she extended her hand to him for guidance.

Aden accepted the hand impatiently. He was anxious to vanquish the Lady Ivy, who to his mind was a symbol of whatever had destroyed Adenandra.

She led him through the forest, seeing the look of impatiency in his eyes. "My good sir, you must wait. We will destroy this witch in all good time.." she said, her voice a little bit low so that Lady Ivy would not hear her. She took him into the forest, setting him down and gathering a few weapons, her dagger, her sword, and her bow and arrows.

((I am really getting impatient with these short posts. Your last post leaves nothing for Aden to do; I'm OK with you choosing some of Aden's responses if it lets you get to a point where I can do something.))

((wow, um, okay. you're not posting the longest of posts either)) She looked over at him, sighing then running a hand through her hair. "If you wish my good sir, you may venture off into the woods and fight her if you wish to be killed at contact. You do not have to wait for me," she said out of gritted teeth, not understanding why such a fool would want to try and take out the Lady Ivy single handedly. Lady Ivy had such a reputation for being impatient with others who werent as powerful as she. Nami thought of Ivy, looking up at the tower for an inspiration to actually travel up there, the thought of death coming up to her first. This village would be wiped out if they didnt do something quick, but it as very foolhardy to just go. Even though there could be no proper training for such a battle, it must be done.

 

[HolyPlace]

Lady Ivy was becoming impaticent((sp?)) she was tired of waiting on her servants. She had called for red wine moments before and still nothing had been brought. She was short tempered and ready to kill. She was also loney, but that was something that had come natural to her. She made herself loney, she kill everyone that got close to her for fear that they would kill her first. She was in the mood to kill. She walked down the huge steps over castel, and toward the city in the west. Past the city was water, more toward was land she had already wiped out.

((That's better. I was actually bothered more by my short posts than yours; I need room to maneuver, or at least something to respond to.))

"I want you to help and be quick about it. I thank you for your warning; I will not go anywhere near her. Atmosphere thickening. Which direction is she in? (Atmosphere Thickening) I will try to take her out from here. (Atmosphere Thickening)"
He launched a bolt of wind against the ground and watched speculatively as it blasted a crater.

((*64 wind power now, that is, *2 for every atmosphere thickening.))

Nami watched as the wind blast went into the mountian, a small burst of wind coming back at them. "Shields.." she put her forearms in front of her eyes, the attack coming straight back at them, Nami sliding back one step. She shook her head, sighing and running a hand through her hair to straighten it out. "This is gonna take a while.." she said, opening her palm and sending a ball of fire at the place where the wind hit.

((Could your character just get started on her speech? I get the impression you have a long speech coming, but I have to just keep making waiting posts.))

((That means the only way out of this situation is for Aden to stock off.))

"You seem determined to take all day with trivial matters. Enoguht of this; I will face Lady Ivy alone." Aden sniffed the air and set off in the general direction of Lady Ivy's castle.
As he left the town, he gave another command. "Livign Torch Summon." A flame appeared in the air, consuming nothing. He repeated it and continued toward the castle. Behind him, the first flame created a third flame, allowing the second flame to do the same. The first flame then created a fifth flame and died out.
The flames continued to replicate and die out, sparkling like a swarm of fairies and following in Aden's wake.

((That frees up Nami for other matters and gives Lady Ivy something to do.))

((haha, ill go)) Nami looked at him and rolled his eyes, "Fool, hes going to be blown up and I'll end up having to heal him. He must be new," she said to herself, taking her sword and walking over to a wheel, sharpening all of the edges then shining it up, putting it on a mantle above her house for easy access.

Most of the city feared Lady Ivy, so walking through it was no threat to her. She wanted to go to the woods though rally not the city. But to reach the woods she wouild have to travel throught the city. She could feel change in the air. Something different, something new. Maybe even a stronger threat to her. She made her way to the center of the city. Everyone cowered in her way. A few had enough gut to mutter curses under there breath, they would pay. She walked with pride, her long blue cloat floating behind her. She reached the outskirts of the city. She remeber everone that had cursed her and standing right there, she cursed everyone of them back. SHe sent fire on them. She walked out of the city, hearing their screams. Reaching the edge of the forest she saw to people up ahead. She new instaly that one of the wasn't from the area. For he was walking a little to tall, a little to proud. The other was more normal, but still to unfrighted. She thought she would mess with them a little, the do her forgivable damge.
"Hello, there today." SHe smiled a wicked but soft simle as she walked up to them.
