Well, rep daddy, since you are celebrating your twenty second star, want to help me get to my second? I can take after your shamelessness.

just did with my last rep for 3 hours.

I'm sorry the OP feels as she does. I know many around here make a point of repping the starless and encouraging those who have relatively low rep totals. I could give a list of those who do that, but it would move this thread into another page.

Perhaps we've moved on from the first 5 or so pages, but I want to say that I make a point to rep those who have repped me. I don't look at their rep totals. Like Nadiine says, I rep those I have a rep rapport with. If you want to try to build one with me, I'd be more than happy to become friends with you.

I also have been going to the who needs a first star thread and repping those there. I don't want to be repped when I'm in there, I'm there to help out, but get repped anyway - and I make sure to rep those who've repped me in those threads. Same thing the Renda Rep & Return thread. I'm posting in both because I like the idea of those threads - - pass the love forward - - and to let others know that you WILL be repped again in those threads. ETA: I only post in the first star thread to bump the thread, as it keeps falling off the first page.

Rep Daddy does have some great ideas for threads, and reps those in those threads who come out and play. I originally came to this subforum to get reps so that I could help encourage those who have made good posts elsewhere, seem lonely, or discouraged. It's a small way to reach out and let others know that they've been noticed. I've found some good friends in here, and that's why I'm here.

I have hesitated to post here, but I am going to say that I too am sorry that the OP felt the way they did.

I give all of my reps each day and I give to a variety of people. I rep those who rep me and I rep and post in a couple of threads that are not in this subforum. I give the majority of my reps here without posting in the thread. I just rep some who need a boost or are getting close or whatever moves me to rep. I don't expect to be repped in return and for the most part have not been (I give out more than I get), but there are those who remember me often if not daily and give me a word of encourgment and I treasure each and everyone of them.

I do hope that this will become fun for the OP as it has for me. When it becomes a chore or I start feeling like I have been slighted, then it will be time for me to move on and find somewhere else to post where I can be blessed and be a blessing to others.

God Bless
Spudgrandma
