Something seems to be wrong with me spiritually.

Sometimes, I wonder if God's letting an evil spirit torment me like he did King Saul.
No but if we keep hardening our hearts and continue living in ungodliness He will give us over to a reprobate mind, to do things which are not convenient....

Romans 1:18-32

I used to be a staunch evolutionist who didn't take every word of the Holy Bible, especially the Old Testament, literally. And I used to cuss often and... do other certain things. All these after accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior years prior. Now the Devil pesters me all the time with unwanted and intrusive thoughts, and I feel like I'll get punished if I mess up anyhow. Every time I do something, I'm plagued by unwanted intrusive thoughts that twist it into something scary. Now I'm afraid I've messed up in a way that's going to get me punished for the rest of my life. I'm in a huge panic and begging God not to let that happen and to please bring me peace and comfort! Maybe I am an example of Romans 1:18-32, Matthew 13:21-22, and accidentally Hebrews 6:4-6.

Or maybe 1 Peter 4:11-13. Remember your intrusive thoughts are not your own. They come from the devil. We must resist it and fill our mind with the Word. Keep reading the Bible.

1 Peter 4:11-13
King James Version
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

David the Gnome - but read further

"And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him." I Sam 16:23

David worshipped God such as II Sam 22. He focused on God instead of his problems as in I Sam 30. In this I Sam 16:23 account, as David worshipped, Saul benefitted from being in that atmosphere. Saul experienced feeling refreshed and things set alright. God caused the evil spirit to leave him.
