I've been thinking about this question for a few days now... and I don't think I could ever come up with a solid answer.

The dates I've been on lately have all been really great, whether it was watching a movie, playing beach football, getting tipsy at the county fair and going on the carnie rides, or just coffee and shop talk. Those are all things that I enjoy doing and as long as we have a good time, then I don't waste time thinking about what more I wanted.

But I've never been able to get a man to take me to the opera or symphony without whining and complaining and asking when it's over. There's one performance at the amphitheater that I REALLY want to go to next month too, but I'll probably go alone or with a woman from my small group because I haven't yet met a man who enjoys the arts of his own accord.:sigh: That would be pretty romantic for me.

Actually I think my old answer 'sing a song' is too easy for some guys to actually do. So in order to make it tougher...a romantic thing a guy could do for me is to put huis own thought and effort into a day and the whole focus would be on 'us' in the date. And that's my final answer.

Ok, so do you mean you want her or the 6-pack to be naked? If the 6-pack, isn't that kind of like the naked animal concept?
Dude, i have no idea what you're talking about. LOL
Naked woman, 6-pack of beer. Thats what i was talking about.

surprise me with rinkside tickets to an NHL game (preferably Vancouver but those are hard to come by!). yeah baby! I know, I'm twisted!

Uh or maybe....a peaceful night on the beach looking up at the stars and talking about whatever weird topic comes to mind. Maybe have a small 'campfire' if the night is cool. Maybe serenade me playing guitar.

Or...hey, just a 'date' will do.....take me to dinner at a nice place and the movies and pay for it! open doors for me, tell me I'm beautiful, be nice to my cats! lol!!

It's funny how some of my friends will talk about how they want a guy to propose to them or what kind of ring they want or what kind of wedding they want, etc. They'll say stuff about how their previous boyfriend "just" got them flowers and how awful that was. Goodness I think I'd cry if I got flowers lol. Some girls just don't realize how lucky they are! I'm not complaining but it's funny how we expect different things and are moved by different things.

my ex-roomate had a boyfriend that CONSTANTLY got her little cards or gave her flowers. I had to share a dorm room with this and being the REJECT that I am....it made me quite ill! I got along okay with her and her boyfriend anytime except for when they were together. They had a weird relationship though and I wouldn't have wanted it for anything. It's just that I think he was TOO sappy! lol!!

That's cool. I don't really have any talents like that. I have always wished God would have blessed me with the ability to sing, but I sure don't have it lol. Oh well. Maybe God wants me to Himself and that is why I'm sort of plain hehe :) Maybe I'm gonna be single for a long time to serve Him or something who knows.

A summer midnight pool swim together. that'll probably lead to something no good though. oh man.. :|
That depends on your conviction. A mid summer night's swim can be just that- a nice swim.

 If you'd ever like to take a midnight swim without the possibility of naughtiness, might I recommend my brand of swimsuit. I have a swimmer's speedo. That thing is designed to streamline and wears like a corset. It's not coming off unless I will every muscle in my body to shrink whilst I slip out of it. Hence it is the swimsuit equivalent of a chastity belt.

I believe the men's version is very similar in this respect. :D

Yah. I am. But you'd be surprised how many guys won't even take you there :p

Not stormgade4 though. (wasn't talking about you Alex I know you're a sweetie :)

But I took you to Whataburger, not Mickey D's. Do I still get a cookie? ;)

Romantic is spending 20 minutes putting the puzzle together from the kid's meal.

That was fun though cuz it was basically just us and that darn puzzle. It did take us awhile to put it together, oh well it was worth the time ;)

i'll reply to this later. i have to go fishing now! (side note that would be awesome if a girl planned a weekend fishing trip for me) i dont think that would ever happen but it would be bomb! I'd scream and cry for a week (not really, but almost)
If you were just a little bit older! haha. I love fishing and I would love to plan a weekend fishing trip (as long as I got to go along!).

Let's see....

taking me fishing and taking my fish off the hook when it swallows the hook. (I can't bear to rip their little gills out).

singing bits and pieces of a song to me (even if he's off key)

little notes about what he appreciates about me

helping me when I embark on little projects around the house (if I want help--I'm usually more of a do it herself type. ) :)

Hmm...that's all I can think of right now.

I so recommend building a puzzle to everyone. It's actually really fun and kind of romantic because you have to work together swapping pieces and all. Get one that's really hard or go to Whataburger and get a Kid's Meal lol. It also gives you a chance to chat :) And it's cheap. You can't beat it!

Romance! I know what I think!

First, I don't do romantic things for men who want to date me, I don't even date. I want all of that part of me to belong to my guy. As far as I'm concerned, that's the most romantic thing I can do for my future-hubby right now...

Honestly, the most romantic thing a man could do is in the middle of our time together (maybe during a date) when we're enjoying each other so much, we're either giddy or breathless, if he would suggest right then, wherever we were, that we get on our knees and pray together or if he would recite Scripture to me, I'd be thoroughly swept off my feet! Sigh. Ladies, wouldn't THAT be beautiful!??

I hate expensive jewelry and typical gifts (flowers are always wonderful though) and I LOVE handwritten notes and a man who will always put God before me, even if that means some short-term disappointment. What's romantic is long-term. A man that will still set aside one night a week [long after he's found out everything wrong with you] to let you know he still wants to spend time with you. Oh! And when he proposes, I'd like that to be our first kiss together, to ensure that we were first friends and to demonstrate our commitment to holiness, and to respecting each other.

..... but come to think of it, I'm not sure how helpful this can be for the men in this forum... I'm kind of odd! Well.. that's generally my idea of romance anyway.
