If I were to get really creative and be outrageous I think it would be cool to have him fly (if he can) me in a plane to a romantic spot and have a picnic. Going fishing for a day and having a picnic would also be fun. Or going to an NFL game and tailgaiting...OR oh I don't know. I keep thinking of fun things to do not romantic things. Anyway, carry on :pink:
I have always wanted to take a girl on a date and go fly somewhere. If I ever get married someday I have a dream to write in a field "Will you marry me (insert name)" ;) And take my girlfriend/fiance up flying over it and propose to her ;)

Hey, I can dream can't I :D

I've never had romantic stuff done for me or about me or concerning me lol It's kinda hard to hear about romantic things guys do for girls and not feel like there is something wrong with me for never having a guy treat me like that. But, I know that shouldn't be my focus or my concern and I should be happy for others.

I didn't have time to read all of the posts but i will still add one onto the end..
I love surprises, so i would love a guy to surprise me when i'm in the middle of doin sumthin and take me on a picnic (early dinner picnic) overlooking sum sort of water (beach or lake) and then we watch the sun go down and are still there wen the stars come out ;) I love the stars.
I woudl also like for a guy to come and surprise me early one morning...(with enuf time to get ready) and take me for a hot air ballon ride to see the sun rise.

I enjoy the simple things...picnics, hiking in the mountains to a pretty view, reading poetry to one another, snuggling, snuggling, and more snuggling :) Spending the night putting puzzles together, playing board games, or watching my favorite chick flick for the umpteenth time. Playing with my nieces or nephews. Now THAT's romantic...a guy who can put up with MY family!

But I also like more involved things that take a bit more planning. I'd love to be serenaded (there's just something about a guy w/ a guitar) or have him write a song or poem for me. Breakfast in bed. Camping and have him cook while I chop wood for the fire*. Have him write sweet notes and leave them around my place for me to find throughout the week or in my suitcase if I'm going away.

I'd love for a guy to find out from my friends my dream date of the moment, and then do it. Cause I probably wouldn't tell him my dream date.

Honestly, the most romantic thing a man could do is in the middle of our time together (maybe during a date) when we're enjoying each other so much, we're either giddy or breathless, if he would suggest right then, wherever we were, that we get on our knees and pray together or if he would recite Scripture to me, I'd be thoroughly swept off my feet! Sigh. Ladies, wouldn't THAT be beautiful!??
Yep...that's on my top FIVE most romantic things a guy can do!

I'd love for my husband to wash my hair and then let it dry by the fire while we're SNUGGLING!!!!

Blessings

(*ok...so I've never chopped wood and and I'd probably hurt myself...but he can still cook!)

when i was younger, i had to have a heart transplant, and they let me keep my old heart in a glass jar ... on my first date with my ex-gf i gave her the jar and said "some people give away keys to their heart, im giving you the whole thing"
I'm still wondering if this was serious. Cause if it was thats absolutely crazy and I like it.....

Just to take to my favorite restuaraunt and just have a nice drive around.
Being sang to would be very nice to have done.
Also the simpliest thing of renting my favorite movie and having a nice night sitting on the coach watching it.

The sweetest thing a guy ever did for me, was call my mom while i was at work and asked her alot of qustions on what i liked for dinner, and etc....
well, have to dress pretty conservative and proffessional looking where i work. he knew this, and knowing this, he got dressed up in my fav outfit of his, and asked me to come to his house that night. when i gt there, he ran outside, opened my car door, and escorted me inside, arms looped together. when i got inside, all the lights were off. he told me to close my eyes. when he guided me to the table and told me to open, he had candles lit, x-mas music playing by kenny g.(my fav.) and had 12 flowers he always picked me out of his yard cut and laid out all over the table, wth the smallest one on my plate.with sparkling grape juice in wine galsses. it was so romantic! but now it's over between us.....:(

Don't feel bad...I haven't even been on a date yet.....er...rather I haven't had a friend that was a girl yet (except online). So, I've got a lot of catching up to do! lol ;)

Well... my ex-boyfriend had gotten our first song that we danced to "Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden and asked me to dance with him, which I thought was so sweet.

What would I think of as romantic? I think a surprise once in awhile. The two guys that I have gone out with wouldn't even decide on where to go for dinner-- they were so afraid of choosing. (You know, the whole "I don't know. Where where would you like to go?" kind of thin.) Even just once to have the night all planned out already and take me to my favorite restaurant and show up with roses or something would be fabulous.

I've never dated, so I can't talk from experience....but I do know what I would like, and Nico hit it right on....plan something tailored to me! I also want all the little things, open my car door for me, etc. I have had a friend that couldn't make any decisions either and that is annoying. I'm not saying the man has to be in total control, I do like helping make some decisions and stuff, but be decisive! Don't be afraid of picking something I won't like...trust me, I'll tell you if I don't want to do it and then you'll have to choose something else! ;)

Right now my dream date, as some one else called it, is that the guy wouldn't tell me what was planned, but would pick me up, my favorite music playing in the car, and he would take me to the Cirque de Soleil or the PBR ( I know, major difference between the two! ;) )...both of which would be at least 2 hours away, so there'd be plenty of time for us to just talk...about everything and nothing. That has actually been my dream date for a while and I don't see it changing anytime soon!

About that heart in the jar deal....very unique...though I'm not sure how I would respond if some guy ever did that for me!

So glad you ask! I am not romantic at all. If a guy goes sentimental or romantic on me, I experience anything from sea sickness to anxiety attacks.

Given the choice, I'd rather spent a whole evening listening to how he dismantled his car and made two out of it ...

What I would do for her is going to be tailored to who she is and what makes her feel special.

What I want her to do for me is to allow me to make a complete fool out of myself as I try to make her feel special. If she lets me do that and appreciates it, then she has made me feel special.
