So you are against the Bible too, then? It's interesting that anyone who says that being actively gay is alright with God can't believe that the Bible is inerrant. I guess it's true with anyone who doesn't want to admit that they are sinning. They either attack it by saying it not inspired by God or they say it is right in parts and wrong in other parts.

Floatingaxe, I understand that you believe homosexuality is a sin and thats fine. But I'm taking major issue with your unfound claims that homosexuality is a choice.

I'm gay and I didn't choose it. I didn't choose the feelings that I have and I have yet to meet a person, straight or gay, who can choose those feelings. I'm lucky because I haven't had to face the hardships the others have had. But there are other gay people who have not been so lucky. And because of those hardships, don't want to be gay. but try as the might, cannot change. And sometimes, the realization that they cannot change, leads to death.

You claiming willy nilly that gay people choose to be gay, and can just as easily choose not to be is ridiculous to say the least and offensive.

I am sure you are sincere in your beliefs, floatingaxe. All I'm saying is that maybe you should take a good hard look at some of your views.

Look. My views are based on the word of God and by knowing Him personally. Do you knopw God? Do you know His living word?

God is not a cruel Father! He did not create ANYONE with the desire for the same sex built in and then proclaim that that behaviour is a sin--thereby making it impossible to obey Him!

but your second paragraph brings up a few things that I have been thinking about.

I suspected that a lot of Christians feel the same as floatingaxe. How can God make someone gay if he calls it a sin? I know that some do believe that God made people gay in order to test them and that they should remain celibate. Others, like Floatingaxe, would rather put the blame completely on gay people. They choose it, they're bad. I suppose, despite what reality shows, its easier for some to believe the latter. It makes everything black and white, which is easier for them to process. Anything that would make them have to rethink their beliefs or look closer at them is automatically written off as evil. Ignorance is bliss.

God sees in black and white.

All people are bad without Jesus Christ. No one is worse than any other. But there is a specific wickedness in those who claim Christ and return like a dog to their vomit. Those are the people we are told are committing the sins that lead to death and that any manner of prayer is unwarranted.

I come here to present the truth, knowing full well that those who have hardened hearts will not hear--and will mock...that's what I expected. I am here for those who are on the fringe, who still have consciences before holy God. I am here for the poor, hurting lurker who needs the relief of the truth that Jesus Christ died to give them freedom.
