Yes I realize that my country is a great place and I am glad for my freedoms. Yet there are still many things wrong with our country. These are things which I must speak out against.Unfortunately, we are not privy to all the information that goes into those kinds of decisions. You ought to be glad that you live in the USA were you have the freedom to say the things that you do and do not suffer unnecessary punishment for it.
I am thankful to the God that set this country aside for religious freedom - for everyone not only Christians. And yes I know that one day this country will turn even against us, but we still have it pretty good here. And I am thankful for the men and women who are willing to put their lives on the line for the freedoms that we do enjoy.
Thanks Stormy.good points Mankin, very wise to be so young.....
However it was on the Democrats watch that the civil rights act was made law what was the other side doing?Liberals in the church I can abide.
Liberals in government, I cannot.![]()
If I rail against Democrats, don't take it personal Mankin. It's just politics!![]()
wrong and revisionist history.... this country was not founded on religious liberty, how quickly people forget that there were those who fled religious intolerance in England, and when they set up colonies here they promptly ostracized those who didn't believe as they did.....Unfortunately, we are not privy to all the information that goes into those kinds of decisions. You ought to be glad that you live in the USA were you have the freedom to say the things that you do and do not suffer unnecessary punishment for it.

And you entitled to do just that.Yes I realize that my country is a great place and I am glad for my freedoms. Yet there are still many things wrong with our country. These are things which I must speak out against.
Abraham Lincoln was a Republican.Who was it that freed the African Americans from slavery? The liberals! No offense but it was the conservatives at the time who wanted to keep their slaves. The Republicans at that time were a lot more like democrats.
While what you say is true of the first people that came over from England.wrong and revisionist history.... this country was not founded on religious liberty, how quickly people forget that there were those who fled religious intolerance in England, and when they set up colonies here they promptly ostracized those who didn't believe as they did.....
naive viewpoint IMO however it seems to be working for ya.....
uh huh.... and those who established this country said that negroes were 3 fifths of a person... so there was no religious freedom or personal freedom for slaves.... that is called hypocrisy or insanity.... which? Extending the right for some to exercise life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness while systematically denying it to others....While what you say is true of the first people that came over from England.
This country was founded on religious freedom.
The First Amendment:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
