Are there any "accidents" with the Lord? It seems to me that the answer is no. God is the Lord of prophecy, and he is the only Omniscient God. So there must not be any accidents because while there are no "accidents", there are no coincidences with the Lord either. I can relate this to my life and what God has me to say or to do. That is just only a part of what I can express. I also realize that there may be differing opinions of this, even within the Baptist Church.

You are correct. The end of the world was decided before the earth was formed.

Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God ...
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord,
who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. ...

Revelation 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the ...
... I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. ... I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. ...

Revelation 21:6 He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the ...
... And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. ... I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. ...

Revelation 1:11 which said: "Write on a scroll what you see and ...
... Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus ...

There are no such things as accidents at all. God providentially rules all Creation to bring to pass exactly what He has determined before to be done.

If there were such things as accidents then God would be ever learning and changing just like men do. That is what Paul is saying in Rom. 1:21-23.

(Rom 1:21) Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

(Rom 1:22) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

(Rom 1:23) And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Prov. 16 tells us something of your question:

Pro 16:1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.

Pro 16:4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Pro 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Pro 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

Paul says it even more clearly in Rom. 11:36:

(Rom 11:36) For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

No. God is in control.

There are events which appear - to human's limited view and understanding - 'coincidental'. Things like 'just running into someone' when we really needed to hear what they had to say. Or 'just getting the tax refund' when a certain bill or obligation came due. Or even 'just then the traffic light changed' when hurrying home because one of the kids is threatening to upchuck in the car.

The secular world views these as 'coincidences' or 'accidents'. There is really no (visible) evidence to show otherwise. But we know different, because we can feel the 'signature' of the Lord in the process.

I agree. There are no accidents with God. If there were, that would refute Him being Omniscient and/or Sovereign.

No. To believe there are accidents with God is a doctrine called "open theism". There is a name Christianity has traditionally applied to such doctrines but I don't want to say because I would get an infraction.

Not sure what you mean but God is perfect and His ways are not our ways.
Also remember satan like to mess things up, but God will put things right in the end anyway. Hes got eternity to do it.
Are you responding to the OP or the post above you?
