We have to decide if we would like something in Semper Reformanda .....

My vote would be for The Ten Commandments (There are only 2 of these) , God's Holy Law which is now written on our hearts , and It would be good if The Lutherans had the other one .

The sword of the Spirit is a good choice but is used by ony one person at a time (what do you mean I am taking this too serious ? )


The KJV is also a good choice but sometimes leads to division

But don't let my thoughts get in ya way , just step right up and vote , then we are going to do what OBOB have done , pool our blessings , D.V.

what fun is there in getting something we designed and put it forwrd which no-one besides us wants and then Buy it back , that sounds like British politics

Isn't that what's already been proposed - the original proposal? To nab an icon to represent us Reformers, that would be unique to us? Calvin would roll over in his grave. I thought that was the original intent. It seems as long as it's 'expensive' many at CF would 'want' it.

With the exception of the Sword, I fail to 'see' a representative connection with anything Reformed, that's all. If the goal is merely to nab an 'expensive' icon for prestige, the grail is as good as any.

they are not real it's only a bit of fun , it's not nabbing it , it's a joint descision....... and it can only be got by pooling blessings , Calvin would laugh , he probably thinks it strange we say Calvinist
you are right about as long as it's expensive , what seems beyond reach is often desirable.........
The Grail is anything but Reformed , and OBob 99% already have it....... good!

I agree about the KJV causing division. The other two would work better, but are *really* expensive. The Sword of the Spirit is the best one listed, IMHO.

What about a new one, though--the Scottish Covenanters "Crown and the Covenant" thing?
