Some what close to KC area.....

Well first off yes im new (first post) anyway wondering if anyone goes to a good church thats in the KC area. That might have some people close to my age in it? (23) my church has a huge gap it's like 1-16 then 30-85 so yeah having a hard time making christian friends. all I have are those old worldly kind hehe...I pray for them but until that time comes, I would like to meet some other people that are already christians...It would be nice to bring up God and not have a big silence or a "ummm yeah so what about (fill in the blank)" Or are there any in that age group that go to church lol...

Welcome to the board!

I have a few recommendations where churches have people in that age group, but it would help to narrow down the area. What most people don't realize is that area-wise, you can put all of New York City and Philadelphia inside the greater KC metro area.

Also, what kind of church are you looking for? Conservative? Presbyterian? Lutheran? Charismatic?

I live out near parkville, but im not afraid to drive a little out of the way. As far as the church goes not sure, I haven't picked one that I would say discribes me. I grew up in a pentecostal church, But now go to a baptist as long as most of what they talk about matches I dont have a problem going. I like preachers that get into it when they preach, but not ones that flip out and just yell things that don't make any sense, or have anyhting to do with the word....if that helps at all

I have a good friend who is the executive pastor at River of Life Church. It is a charismatic church, but not extreme. Good solid preaching of Christ. I had helped start a two year Bible College at the church (about three years ago). They have good outreach to newly saved as well as small group ministry (about 200 participants). Worship attendence is about 700+, and good support network. Here is the web site:

Wichita.. good churches in Wichita.. there is nothing else to do but go to church.. so we have a lot of them.. hehe hi.. i'm new too!
