My watch also has the manufacturer's name printed on the front, so on the face of it it appears to be designed. However, some of my clocks do not bear the manufacturer's name, so I shall have to think of some other criterion for design. Perhaps the presence of several components that were made separately and fitted together rather than either growing organically from a single cell (like a biological organism) or (like a pulsar) being formed from the collapse of the core of a star.so you cant conclude design if you will see a watch without manufacturer's name inscribed on the back?
A word of explanation: I'm not sure if the pun was intentional or not, but I found it delightful, hence the "Funny" award. "printed on the front" = "on the face of it".My watch also has the manufacturer's name printed on the front, so on the face of it it appears to be designed. If gears are man-made objects, then by your argument, the insect gears you posted earlier are man-made... oops!as i know that gears are manmade objects.
You're using your pre-existing knowledge of cars.no. since i never seen someone who made a self replicating car. so i have no pre-existing knowledge of self-replicating cars
It is very simple, but you seem completely incapable of understanding. Think about how you detect design in a watch or a car. What do you see that you couldn't see in the picture of the waterfall? I assure you you would see the same evidence of design if you could examine the waterfall up close, in person.as i said- i cant in the waterfall case but i can in the watch\car case. very simple.

so of someone will create a watch that can grow from a single cell it will not be evidence for design? My watch also has the manufacturer's name printed on the front, so on the face of it it appears to be designed. You need to be able distinguish between:so of someone will create a watch that can grow from a single cell it will not be evidence for design?
No, it is the only possible conclusion to draw from your argument.no. we know that wings are the product of design. it can be any design. including aliens.
see above. wrong cnclusion.
no. we know that wings are the product of design.
It would help if you specified which comment you were referring to - if it's this one "...we know that wings are the product of design. it can be any design. including aliens...", then one could say that the insect gears were designed by humans or aliens - or evolution.indeed oops but in the other direction. see my comment to kylie above.
Man made gears are the product of design. Gears in nature? No idea. I cannot say either way, but I can certainly say there's no evidence they were designed. You obviously believe there is evidence of design, but every time you are asked to explain that evidence you run away. Why?its also true for gears. so you believe now that gears are the product of design?
