Some questions for Christians who accept evolution

Looking at a commentary on verse 21 this popped up first

" Verse 21. Submitting-one to another
Let no man be so tenacious of his own will or his opinion in matters indifferent, as to disturb the peace of the Church; in all such matters give way to each other, and let love rule. "

The context is not wife husband there, it is in the following verse. Don't try to pawn off a fast one on us. I realize churches have mostly female congregations perhaps and have to bend over backwards trying to make the place of women seem something more than what it is...but...better to face reality.

You got to know when to hold 'em and you got to know when to fold them. If you don't sweat the little stuff then you will have more leverage when something important comes along.

You believe this verse applies to the church and not the family. For me that approach is not realistic. If mamma ain't happy than no one is happy. To be head of the family is to be servant to all. Christ gave Himself for the Church as an example for us to follow. There is a lot of sacrifice involved in being a leader and spiritual head. "Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all." Mark 9:35

Which makes me wonder why people say we do not have to follow the diet laws in the Bible when science can show we do have to follow those laws if we want to live a long life.

The laws about shelled fish and pigs comes to mind. Actually science goes WAY beyond the Bible. They not only advise a plant based diet, they advise a diet high in nutrition and low in calories. The evidence is more than substantial that coronary heart disease, some cancer and diabetes are all a result of diet. Plus many other diseases can be controlled even reversed through diet.

The American heart association allows a small amount of meat. The guidelines the government puts on the food labels is a very good start. If you want to reverse an exciting disease the requirements are going to be stricter to clean up the mess from eating high calorie low nutrition foods.

There are some advantages to eating meat but good health and long life are not among those advantages.

Can you show me anywhere in the Torah where it limits the amount of beef or lamb a person is to eat in one time period?

If the Torah says that unhealthy foods are just fine, then how can it be said to lead to a long life?

The real villain is eating too much refined sugar.
