Lev 10:12And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it [is] most holy:

I think it is quite obvious that from the fall we are meant to have the option of meat in our diet.

I Don't take that option, and others don't as well, and that is great. It is a lot less efficient, and in some cases less healthy. But it is perfectly good to take that option too, unless there isn't enough grain to feed people and cows at the same time.

Plenty of studies have shown that vegetarian diets lead to reduced risks of cancer, heart disease, and many other chronic degenerative diseases. Not to mention the increased life span. Healthy life, mind you. One of my former teachers improved on his marathon time by over 20 minutes by simply changing to a vegan diet. He's in his 50's now and runs ultra-marathons. And given how what meats to eat aren't really mentioned until after the flood, it certainly seems to be a concession, not best practice.

What does the bible teach about meat eating?
Bible authors are not well qualified to offer an onion in modern times on the matter.

However, there are two sources wonderfully qualified.

The first is science.

The second is us. I don't eat meat because I function better as a vegetarian. Others function differently - they have a different experience.

If pork and Jack Daniels helped me be more healthy, I would be fully stocked with both.

At my age, eating less meat is a pure pleasure (I feel better and my body does). I make all sorts of veggie meals that surprise me with their flavors. Meat is salty and tasty, but remove it and your taste bubs will awaken to the many hidden flavors, besides that of salt & fat. The same is true with refined sugars. Remove the salt, fat and sugar world of processed foods and more rich hidden flavors will emerge and you will feel satisfied and know when you are full. Meat offers little but its salt and smothering taste over the hidden flavors that are truly satisfying and fulfilling (you will have knowledge of the word enough, your hunger is really satisfied but only by omitting salt, fat and refined sugar).

The food that I eat is a pleasant memory each time. I actually seem to lose weigh very slowly, for I love the flavors of the veggies (also fruits, nuts, legumes, etc). I still eat meat, but I don't miss it that much. I seem to love fish over the hard core meats. I just eat a little to compliment my intake of nutrition.

I believe in Jesus Christ overall. I also believe in a physical knowledge to help me in my health. I believe in the knowledge of Dr. Joel Fuhrman, M.D..

Have a good day.

The HS that inspired them to write certainly was.
You are referencing the Holy Spirit with an abbreviation? How ironic given the point your are attempting to make.

Is their an "information about food exemption" written into the Seventh-day Adventist fundamental belief #17?

"According to the Scriptures, these gifts include such ministries as faith, healing, prophecy, proclamation, teaching, administration, reconciliation, compassion, and self-sacrificing service and charity for the help and encouragement of people." (from http://www.adventist.org/beliefs/fundamental/index.html)

We dishonor God by using It as a weapon in the defense of our beliefs.

What's the point here? When the scribes were writing the Bible they used abbreviations out of respect to the holiness of God.

How is it ironic?

Who said it was?

What "it"?

Now to get back on the point I made: The HS who inspired the Bible writers was certainly qualified to say what the life practices of all true believers in Christ should be.

Why the rush? There's a difference being making and defending a declaration and building out an idea.

I'm not interested in whether your declaration is "right" or "wrong." I'm interesting in reflecting something back to you about learning.

If God did not intend for man to eat meat.....

Was Adam a vegetarian?
Why was Abel a keeper of sheep?
Gen 4:2And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
Cribstyl,

A baby is not given its permanent/adult food form as its first food form.

The IF becomes very big from the Bible story as a whole.

Revelation 22 is a prophecy of the fruits of the Spirit. We do not know the form of the future life, but when we see him we will be like him, Jesus our Lord.

Percular answers, considering that some people feel that God had no plans for humanity to eat meat.

Not sure what you're talking about...........I always thought these scriptures below was literal about the fruit of the spirit.
Gal 5:22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

I believe God intended for us to be vegetarian. Adam was a vegetarian in the Garden of Eden, as God instructed him to eat of the trees of the Garden save one. However, it was after sin that meat came into the diet. Vegetarianism is definitely the better choice today...
