I have been having these dreams over the past few years. They are always from first-person viewpoint and always brief. I see/hear an event or image, and within the next few weeks, lo and behold, I see the scene exactly as dreamed. They are mostly inconsequential (an exact conversation, the computer screen with a specific Google search), but too precise for me to ignore.
I suspect that these are spiritual in origin, as I lack another explanation, and because they started shortly after my acceptance of Christ as my Savior. A few of my friends have experienced this same phenomenon. However, if so, is it from God... or His enemies?
However, these dreams come and go about every 40 days, and I ran across a program a few months ago which is supposed to chart "biorhythms", one of which is the 38-day "intuitional" cycle and matches this perfectly. This, together with the dreams' usual lack of import and my friends' testimony, leads me to wonder if these might not be an as-yet-unexplained natural occurances.

My apologies if this is not the correct forum, but this really did not seem to fit well in any.
Does anyone have any insight on this?

This has happened to me a few times, it's pretty crazy stuff. I have a dream journal, and when I wake up I
write down what I dreamed if I remember, with as much detail as possible. It's pretty cool to go back and

read it, but very few times do my dreams actually turn to reality.
But anyways, here's what I got from the bible:
Numbers 12:6"...If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision, I speak with him in a dream....."

The bible has a lot of symbolism in it, and in dreams we also see symbolism. It may be that God speak to us through dreams, and if it's true, we can pray to him and as if it is him that speak through our dreams.
But, ya, dreams are very strange, and when they take place in our real lives it's even stranger.
Peace,
-Stefania

Have you ever been into any occult stuff? Astrology? Fortune telling? Ouigi boards? Anything of that nature?

Hmmm...
I do not remember the Lord ever speaking to me in a dream, so I suppose I can rule out this being a spiritual gift. This begins to be worrisome. These dreams do not contain any symbolism or other confusion. They come in full color, high resolution, and perfect sound, and they happen exactly as I dream.
I have read a bit of the Qur'an, but that is the only occult thing I have done.

I have seen things come true, but nothing of import so far. At least nothing that has seemed important. And those dreams I have felt were about me and prophetic have not yet come true. Prophecy is a gift from God, but hardly the greatest gift. Part of the problem is interpreting them, which was noted as a problem in the early years of the CHristian Church and written down in the Bible. You have to find the person who know how to interpret them, and that gift seems to be sparser than prophecy. You may be able to find another who can interpret your dreams. It seems to me that I can sometimes interpet other's dreams but not my own. I'd be willing to try, but I do not know that I am the one God wants to interpret your dreams and I may mislead you.

Biorythms are junk science. I know of a study where people were given their "BR" charts and they noted that yes their experience matched what the charts said. However these charts were faked to be the opposite or at least off of what supposed biorythms actually were. I do not deny that there are cycles in human bodies, but I do not think this method is correct.

Jatopian,

What you experiencing is Jesus, the Omniscient One, building your faith! Going before you! Directing your very steps! Your times, your moments are in His Sovereign, Supreme, and wonderful hands! :D

Psalm 139:1-6, 16 O LORD, You have searched me and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue You know it completely, O LORD. You hem me in-behind and before; You have laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain... All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.

There are many different purposes to dreams and visions -- the ones you described in the OP seemed like small predictive things that I have seen the Lord use infrequently in my life but more frequently with others. Most memorably, when I was a child and was about to be sent to a different church camp, the Lord prepared me by giving me a dream the night before I went in which I saw the exact layout of the place -- very comforting for me back then..... Nowadays my dreams are more often symbolic, like little parables that must be discerned. Like silentpoet I seem to be much more adept at interpreting the dreams of others than my own. I think the Lord does this on purpose to keep us humble and keep us in community. Please do not allow the enemy to convince you that this is just pizza or whatever -- the Lord is leading you..... Probably it would be wise to ask HIM what to do with these things; I think He would be glad to tell you!

blessings on you

I became a Christian about 6 months ago but since the start of this year every single night I have had a dream, and its always really clear wen i wake up!! before i became a christian i only used to dream a few times a week but now its like every single night without fail, and they're really clear! I don't think God has spoken to me yet through my dreams though....mabey he's just preparing me or something!! Its good entertainment when you sleep anyway if nothing else. lol.

Alright, I have stopped giving credit to biorhythmic theories. I suppose I will just accept it as a sort of trinket from God, but I shall pray about it.

Praying about it is a good thing. When it gets right down to brass tacks, that is about all you can do for any problem or question.

Seeing the future in and of itself is kind of meaningless if all you take from it is a vision of the future. Prophets more than seeing the future, saw the absolute Truth. They also spoke it. Speak what Truth you know. That is about the best you can do for people.

Greeting Jatopian , and all ,

It appears your dreams are small " tokens " , of what The Spirit of The Lord can do . As your life comes into greater harmony with God's will , expect that the gifts He has for you will also be enlarged in scope and functionality .

For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.
<-----> Job 33:14-17

The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD. <-----> Jeremiah 23:28

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams . <-----> Acts 2:17 ( Quoting Joel 2:28 )

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. <-----> John 16:13

Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he. <-----> John 13:9 ( Words of Jesus )

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. <-----> 1st Corinthians 12:7

Peace and Joy In The Blessed Christ .

I believe that Satan has very strong powers. WHile this phenomenon may or may not be from him, relying on it or taking instruction, or changing your life in response to it may not be a good thing. We are told in scripture how the Gift of the Holy Spirit works and to be careful of unknown Spirits. I think that asking if it serves a purpose in your life, and asking in prayer would be beneficial. What do you think?
