Some harder Type of music that you members Could recommand for Me?

For a long time i've been into Christian rap and Non Christian rap and im also into r&b music as well. Those are two genres that i have alot of in my music collection. But lately i've been into more metal type music. I do have some harder stuff in my music collection like Pillar Kutless Pax217 Project 86 P.O.D and i've also heard of skillet there good as well just dont have any cds by them plus i've also heard that cd samplers of more harder type music that record labels put out in christian bookstores. But im wanting to if there are any other good harder type music out there thats on the christian based side. That i might like checking out online to see if i like them. I could also get into harder type music in the secular genre to but this is the Christian based music section so i'll keep it that way Im just trying to branch out in my music tastes abit

Have you heard of Chevelle? I thought they were secular but someone told me they were Christian. I have their CD but have not had a chance to relisten to the lyrics. They rock, however.

I downloaded a few of Skillet's songs and will be buying some CDs at Christmas.

I just picked up Skillet's "Alien Youth" and I can't stop grinning. Excellent from top to bottom. I'd like to compare it to a secular band, but I don't want to potentially turn any one off, let me just say that their sound is somewhat like um.....er.......M-M. Don't let my age fool ya, it wasn't that long ago I was heavily into "that" kind of music, lol.


I also picked up Thousand Foot Krutch, but I can't remember the title (it's in the car right now), They give POD a run for the money, very good stuff.

I've already heard of Chevell and TFK i burnt a few songs of Chevelle and a Few songs from TFK before i even joined this site so it was along time ago. My fav song by Chevell is there song ''The Red''

Blindside is pretty cool. Justified i love. Sanctus Real, Bleach, Chevelle are also some really great ones.

What I would do is find the record label for some of those bands you mentioned and then go to that website and check out other artists that record company has signed...there are some real good ones at toothandnail.com. Also you can go to Amazon.com and type in those band names and scroll down a bit and it should list other similiar bands like the ones you typed in. Hope I helped!

www.christianrock.net has an online radio station, and reviews and articles about various Christian rock bands. They play alot of the bands mentioned in this forum, and it may expose you to new stuff.

there are lots of this kind of bands actually. check 12 stones, blindside(great), chevelle(rocks), lucerin blue, thousand foot krutch, sometimes they play raprock, but they fill the bill, ashes remain(their guitarist plays a lot, well, one of ´em, the guy who do the solos on the songs) and if you still want more tips post me and i´ll check my playlist(i actually got up to 500 songs from various rock bands, maybe they can do for you)

These guys are about as hard as any group I've heard, and even my aithiest friends liked their Crawl to China CD. They're my favorite Christian band (which reminds me, I need to rip their CDs to my computer so I can listen to them while I'm working).
