Jesus never claimed He was God Almighty....BUT "For unto us a child is born, unto us, a SON IS GIVEN, and the GOVERNMENT shall be upon His Shoulder; and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Councellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Now, weren't these all terms used in reference to the King of Jerusalem? (cp. Kind David)

It isn't that I am being willfully stubborn, you know. I examine carefully each and every piece of data and information I am given. I would rather do what God wants than what I want. Mo, Jesus was there as God before and after He came for us, He was the way back to Him when man fell, He is always there.

Man gave into sin, and therefore has fallen, hense God making a way back to Him, through Jesus.

Does it say specifically that Jesus was as God before?

Or does it say Jesus is the Word. The Word was with God from before.

If the latter is the case, then we can't equate with Jesus being with God from before. Since everything is created through the Word, Jesus is the Word made flesh. Jesus doesn't exist without the Word and the flesh.

The Word itself is not God, but comes from God. We can see how this issue can be understood either way. We'd need to look at the original aramaic and hebrew writings, i find english translations so limiting.

Mo, Jesus was there from the beginning, the Son of God, taken on human form on earth.

Either way my friend it all leads to the one important issue at hand, the way to God.
