Solving the Overpopulation Problem

It was on a previous post. It's not for me to question anyone's faith or their lack thereof. If you choose to read the biblical account of creation and the flood allegorically or disregard it, that is your business, not mine.

There is much hostility in the education system because of the ongoing debate between the Biblical account of creation and the evolutionist account, an account which sadly excludes God the Father and Jesus Christ, the one by which all things were made, according to the Genesis account. Neither side of the argument has brought honour to God.

It is not for professing Christians to impose their beliefs on others; if they reject the teachings of a secular education system, they should remove their children and place them in a learning environment that is in keeping with their beliefs. And so I will leave behind the information I accumulated on applied evolution (Eugenics) and walk away. Do with it what you wish.

Most species (99%) of all species that have ever lived are extinct. We are in the midst of the 6th mass extinction in the history of the planet. Extinction, not survival through new adaptation, is the most common fate of species.

Yes, we can likely deal with overpopulation in the traditional ways outlined by Malthus: famine, plague and war. But perhaps with our evolved intellectual capacities we can find a better more humane way to deal with overpopulation.

What do you think would meet God's approval better? Kill off the surplus population by starving them to death or killing them or reduce population to reasonable limits by voluntarily limiting human reproduction?

Good scientific information offers us new options. The theory of evolution does not dictate which option to choose. Better to turn to ethicists and religious leaders for guidance on that.

The question we must ask ourselves is this: What is the best form of population control, education or indoctrination. The so-called evolutionists think the answer is indoctrination, demonstrating they do not believe in evolution.

Those that are controlled without the "aid of social engineering" are largely controlled by famine and disease. Is this the sort of thing you believe those who accept evolution should promote for humanity?

The question we must ask ourselves is why would a Christian say I advocated letting the weak die. Why would a Christian act like a (fill in the blank?) While would a Christian ask "do you know..." when the effort is to disparage and question the knowledge of another. The "social engineers" are advocating godlessness folks, not biblically based solutions to the issues that confront mankind. The social engineers believe in compulsion, rather than letting men and women within the sanctity of marriage decide how many children to have. Nothing wrong with big Christian families.
