You realize that Jesus is specifically referring to specific "traditions of man" (the Oral Torah) and not some blanket statement about all traditions we hold?

We Baptist hold almost as many "traditions" to be authoritative as Catholics, ours just aren't as old and aren't all codified like the Catholics are.........just sit in some older saints pew some Sunday morning and you'll see what I mean...........

People worship differently
They don't worship all of the same you know!
But as long as your worship the same Lord
That is what counts.

every time i see this lately, reminds me

it is written: "they worship me ... with their lips

but their heart is far from me."

and as it is written: multitudes think they are saved, claiming they worshiped and healed people and did miracles in his name;;;

and Jesus tells them "be gone from me, I never knew you."

What are you saying there?
