A friend and I have been disussing this lately and it is causing me to ponder things.
If true Christianity were to be implemented into goverment, it is obvious that it would seem socialist. This would be due to the focus on giving and charity.
However, the problem I see, that in socialism there must be a leader who must be the one who forces those to not hold their productions for themselves.
My friend brought up a point that went along like this: In a true Christian society, people would give up freely. However, the only problem I see is that this is beginning to slide into a very idealistic view of mankind. Even those who are Christians sin, obviously. So in that there comes the problem of people who will not follow that which Christian doctrine demands and these people must be forced to do that and that can cause violence to erupt.
Question: Should orthodox Christian doctrine be implemented into goverment?
