Have we ever completely cleansed ourselves of pagan influence?
History records Brutis stabbing Caesar yet the people loved Caesar.
Rome had a organized form of government with a politically based Senate to vote for how they would progress in governing their Nation.
This caused a duel leadership after a bloody cival war.
We share the same building design,pagan names for our days of the week and,
a general lust for violence and blood.
The Greco Roman morals were similar as ours as well.
The one thing that makes us any better is our knowlage of Christ.
Even some Roman soliders believed in Him.
The Centurian had observed Him and had enough sense to believe in Him.
Our God sets us apart from this World.
Rome is a perfect example of how God's Word describes the World.
Our only redemption from this World is Christ.
He came to redeem this World back then,and God's forknowlage knew they would kill Him.
Amazing how God used the hearts of continually wicked people to destroy the works of evil.
Now we know better we have the Spirit of God indwelling us.
Those who donot have God's Spirit are bound to repeate the same mistakes and,the same history.
