I actually read it when you first mentioned that eye science stuff a couple of hours ago. Only posted it when I went through it, replying to your latest post. You're welcome.

I also found that article before you posted it. It's the first one that came up in my search. Which would indicate you read a lengthy article because it was the main hit instead of looking further or elsewhere.

Like, for example, when I bang my elbow on a table hard...it hurts. Each and every time. Provable, testable and reproducible.

Maybe different people have different reflexes? Could that be possible?

You don't seem to know much about autonomic reflexes and responses. And I don't see any point in addressing stuff you make up along the way. It's like discussing the content of a book with someone who hasn't read it.

I think it's pretty obvious that you are simplifying this "eye science" stuff for the convenience of your argument and that you are very quick with dismissals for any number of reasons, but unwilling to actually discuss the issue. No need to dig yourself any deeper, you are transparent enough.

Really looking down like that could be an ingrained reflex from having read a script. One keeps looking down at the script while reading it over and over to memorize it. So then it would probably be typical to continue looking down while giving out lines of the rehearsed memorized dialog.

I know enough to know they're not universal. Some people may look up to remember something, some won't. Perhaps even most people will do this...but that's not the same thing as proving, scientifically, that it happens each and every time for every individual, without exception.

So basing a conclusion about Kamala Harris based on nothing more than the direction her eyes go when she's thinking isn't very scientific, nor is it conclusive.

But, that doesn't mean you aren't free to come up with any theories about it that you want to. Feel free. Look up and to the left and let your imagination soar!

I noticed throughout Harris' interview with CNN, that she kept looking down; as she was answering the scripted questions; as if she herself was reading a script.

Where do you suppose the teleprompter was hidden from camera view?

It could simply mean that this is her way to collect her thoughts. We need to keep in mind that as a prosecutor and congresswoman, she was in control of asking questions. She may not be entirely comfortable ( yet) in a reverse situation.

Someone posted this interview to another thread also about her latest interview.

Notice how during this one she's not looking down as if reading something most of the time.

Perhaps the teleprompter was at eye level for that one.

No, there’s no Teleprompter. In a conversation when someone is asked a question and they look down to the right and then stop for just a moment they are picturing their answer. There is a distinct possibility. She had the questions ahead of time and has practiced the replies.
