I suppose I saw it when I looked downward, but it didn't give me any suggestions about what to post, so it was no help.Maybe you were looking at your keyboard.
Some might, others may look downward. Who knows, there may even be some weirdos who look side to side, or slightly backward. You never know.Usually people look upwards when thinking about what to say next.
You can tell by this photo, her entire script for the evening was printed on the side of the interviewers coffee cup.
Eye movement is autonomic. There's an actual science involved in analyzing people based on their eye movements.I suppose I saw it when I looked downward, but it didn't give me any suggestions about what to post, so it was no help.

Somewhere between the camera and the table.I noticed throughout Harris' interview with CNN, that she kept looking down; as she was answering the scripted questions; as if she herself was reading a script.
Where do you suppose the teleprompter was hidden from camera view?
Cool. Does this science reveal where to find the things to say when you're responding to someone? Cuz I looked everywhere, and I couldn't find any.Eye movement is autonomic. There's an actual science involved in analyzing people based on their eye movements.
I think it’s more a lack of confidence. A lot was riding on this, and we know she was coached about her cackl…er…laugh.I noticed throughout Harris' interview with CNN, that she kept looking down; as she was answering the scripted questions; as if she herself was reading a script.

I've heard that when someone looks up and to the right, they're accessing their memory. When they look up and to the left, they're accessing their imagination ie they're making something up. That's one of many ways based on eye movement, body language and voice inflection a law enforcement interrogator or a trained interviewer can ascertain if someone is telling the truth or lying among other things.Cool. That's also part of eye reading science. Looking down displays lack of confidence, nervousness, embarrassment, they're hiding something etc.I think it’s more a lack of confidence. A lot was riding on this, and we know she was coached about her cackl…er…laugh.
Pretty interesting. So looking down means....?I've heard that when someone looks up and to the right, they're accessing their memory. I already posted what looking down means. What you suppose but don't really know is irrelevant. This is a science. Nonsensical maybe this maybe that scenarios don't apply.Pretty interesting. So looking down means....?
But, either way, in my case. it didn't matter if I looked up, down, to the right, to the left, or in the direction of Alpha Centauri, in the end, I still had to come up with whatever I needed to say in response all by myself.
Or just thinking about something. Oh, the horror of a politician who thinks before saying something! That's also part of eye reading science. Looking down displays lack of confidence, nervousness, embarrassment, they're hiding something etc.
People usually look up when cogitating. Even to the point of tilting their head back.Or just thinking about something. Oh, the horror of a politician who thinks before saying something!
So it's provable, testable, and reproducible, as science tends to be? So if I look up and to the right, I can access my memory, but if I look up and to the left, I can access my imagination each and every time?I already posted what looking down means. This is a science. Nonsensical maybe this maybe that scenarios don't apply.
Not really. It depends on the individual, as well as their surroundings.People usually look up when cogitating.
That's a very lengthy article. How did you manage to read and digest the entire thing in the four minute span between my post and your reply? Not really. It depends on the individual, as well as their surroundings.
You're correct that there is a science behind eye movements, but the statement that you can basically read someones mind just by the direction their eyes turn veers hard into pseudoscience.
Looking for Creativity: Where Do We Look When We Look for New Ideas? - PMC
Recent work using the eye movement monitoring technique has demonstrated that when people are engaged in thought they tend to disengage from the external world by blinking or fixating on an empty portion of the visual field, such as a blank wall, or ...www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Hmm...
Looking up and to the right didn't do anything, but when I looked up and to the left, I did think about my Uncle Ken, and I hadn't thought about him in ages. Didn't get a story idea from that, though...and none of it seemed applicable to this thread in any event.
I actually read it when you first mentioned that eye science stuff a couple of hours ago. Only posted it when I went through it, replying to your latest post. You're welcome. That's a very lengthy article. How did you manage to read and digest the entire thing in the four minute span between my post and your reply?
But it doesn't seem to work each and every time, so it's not very scientific. It's an autonomic reflex.
