CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Here's my guess. The teleprompter was hidden in your imagination. Or maybe she was playing with her audience. "Gee, I bet if I look down the right will say I'm looking at a teleprompter. Let's have some fun and see if we can catch them in their lies."

Before she answered a question, she looked off to one side...as if reading a teleprompter.
Before she answered a question, she looked down...as if reading a script.
Before she answered a question, she paused...as if she was listening to someone giving her the answer.
Before she answered a question, she answered immediately...as if she knew what the question was going to be.
Before she answered a question, she didn't look at the camera...as if she was responding to the person asking the question.
Before she answered a question, she put her hand to her mouth...as if she was slipping in another tablet of some sort.
Before she answered a question, Walz stroked his chin...as if it was a signal to give a particular scripted answer.
Maybe we could take a vote on which is more likely.

I'm shocked. That Sky News, one of the Titans of Unbiased Reportage, that Bastion of Journalistic Integrity, the very Benchmark for Editorial Standards, the Essence of Media Values should imply such a thing.

A political candidate, in a political campaign, went to a (reasonably) friendly media outlet and talked about her background and campaign goals. Quelle suprise!
A completely normal thing that's happened dozens of times before. Donald Trump and JD Vance did likewise in July with Fox News. Don't tell me that we're getting upset about totally normal things.
I caught the first 2/3ds of the interview, and it was fine. Not great, not bad, just fine. Stolid. The questions were straightforward, although they weren't particularly fiery and there probably could have been some more follow up. The answers were relatively straightforward, although Harris and Walz are clearly politicians and they pivoted to politically palatable language on the rare few moments they were pushed.
There weren't any big rhetorical flourishes or strong high points, but there weren't any flubbs or missteps either. The Harris-Walz campaign isn't running around trying to put out fires, and people aren't outraged about anything.
As for the response of Sky News Australia, this is just them trying to spin what was an obviously positive and own-goal free interview into an avenue of attack - 'oh of course Harris looked good, this was the lamestream media being on Team Democrat'.

The economy and the illegal invasion are top concerns.
Outrage isn't always expressed in a BLM burn down the village manner, as it does on the Far Left that Kamala seems to support.

She didn’t need to laugh. She knew all the questions and had time to rehearse. The laugh only comes when she can’t figure out what to say.
