In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have an idea - i will get into the exterminating business down south.
That's -31 FahrenheitThe other night it went down to -35 celsius with the wind chill. It's now -10 celsius.
And 14 Fahrenheit...

AMDG - ya know cockroaches cause higher incidents of asthma for some reason?
Could be the filth they leave behind.. and i am so repulsed right now.

1) They come out at night and walk on ppl.
2) They are so much bigger in warmer areas.

Walked outside today with nothing but a light wind-breaker. It's so cold today! 59 degrees!!! And the high is only 63!? Tough day, but I'll hang in there....

Did you also see that newscast warning people of a cold wave wth temperatures as low as 40 degrees Fareinheit so that they had all better "bundle up and wear gloves"?
Guess it has something to do with what a person is used to.

I'm just here to beat the rush. Forecast high tomorrow, 55. Low tomorrow, 29. Wednesday's high, 29, with a low of 2 below. All temps F. For you on the new fangled scale, that translates to a swing of almost 15 degrees C in about 6 hours, and 32 degrees C over about 30 hours, going from 13 to 19 below. All temps are on the mercury, no wind chill. Winds forecast for not less than 15 mph (I'll let someone else translate that into kph, but I think it should be about 24)

Well, they called for 43 today.
Woke up to the phone ringing with a message from the school that school was cancelled due to weather.
Icy rain - and ice everywhere.
Needless to say - i didnt go to my class tonight.
It frustrates me ...a lot.
Anyway -
tomorrow is supposed to be in the 50's...we shall see.
I have to get new tires put on and do some shopping and other stuff. But it really bums me out i couldnt go to class.

Well the weatherman was wrong - color me shocked. Tuesday's high was a record-breaking 56, with 60 just east of here. The temp didn't drop as quickly as predicted so the next morning instead of the ground being white, it was icy with black ice and the snow didn't start accumulating until about 11AM. Last night's low was 9, and today we'll be all the way up to 10; for less than an hour, on our way down to 6 below tonight. Plus steady winds hovering at 20 m.p.h.

Are you close to any of the severe storms? At least we don't get much of that up here; high wind, hail, but not the stuff that picks up your house and takes it to Kansas.
