• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Wow this is so amazing God's hands for sure. I went through the exact same thing in 10th grade. I would fake being sick to not go I was so miserable, the only thing I like about school was cheerleading. I understand your pain. I sat down with my parents and put my feelings on the table how I was almost affraid to go to school, the knot I would get in my stomache! After talking and praying my parents agreed to give homeschooling a try. I did it for a while but back then they didn't have the programs they do now so I ended up getting my GED
I want to home school because i feel that school has become my home. my mom is always busy & hardly has time. everytime i tell her i'm depressed, she gets mad, because i'm putting pressure on her. she gets me alot of counselors, but they don't work. counselors are there to do their job, but all they do is sit there and criticize you. i'm going through a hard stage right now. i didn't ask for this depression. it always attacks me.......& its very sad for me to keep bragging about it. but im glad that you don't care about me bragging to you about it. but sometimes i feel like i have no one to tell it to.

I am not sure about your parents feelings but the PACE or ACE home schooling program is really hands off for your parents at that level. That is the one I used both my parents worked at the time, too.
My dad doesn't want me to home school because he says that i need to get out the house & quit being home and online all the time.

I am sorry to hear that a lot of people feel that way about home schooling. Have you prayed? You should try reading your Bible and praying, and if you have a pastor or youth minister you could talk to, maybe they can help you talk to your parents about finding a solution, it is not good to go through life feeling sad all the time. I will put you and your family on my prayer chain and all my friend's prayer chains.
