Hello, everyone first I like to thank Jesus Christ, for bringing me to this forum, like everyone we all have a story. In short I was born and raised a Pentecostal, remembering my child hood (I'm 31) my mom had to wear a shirt, we where forbidden to attend any social outlets (Movies, concerts, games ect..), around the age of 12 a big scandal broke loose at my childhood church, Pastor was accused of mishandling the Church funds, and several complaints of misconducts with certain young ladies, either way, my parents them moved to a Assemble Of God Church, it was nice but as I became older, the youth pastor along with the pastor keep pressuring myself and bigger brother into a ministry. either into music or preaching, eventually the church became one big Sunday night concert, and if you did not participate in either the music ministry, Chorus, theater and dance ministry ( yes ). you were kinda consider what they term as a Cold Christian, eventually I left to serve in the Marine Corps, and basically never came back, (joined in 1998), well fast forward I'm married for 9 yrs have a 5 yr old son, I'm currently in Law enforcement , well basically hits some bumpy roads, I want to introduce Church to my son , and here is why I'm lost, my wife was born Catholic but her parents converted to Pentecostal, ( are family are long time friends), she also left the church , I recently been researching and have a interest to give Catholicism a shot, but my wife still maintains the typical anti-Catholic views as are parents and former church has. I recently purchased "Rome sweet Home" by Scott Hahn, I loved it, I told here to read, but she refuses. Don't know what to do, for her its seems although we have not gone to church (well this Easter we visited a Presbyterian church, it was the first time my son entered a Church kinda sad.) that it must be a non-denominational or nothing, I want to go somewhere that I feel comfortable.. how can I get her to not see the Catholic church as evil, thank you all, please pray for me and my family. God bless you all..
